(oh! and as a side note, in case you'd want to fix it, only the kindle edition has that this book is written by Augusta Li & Eon de Beaumont. The Ebook edition needs to have it too.)
Hi. Would someone please add the cover to The Vertical Smile by Richard Condon? I can't find the ISBN number, but it was printed in 1978, hardcover, The Dial Press. This may very well be a first edition, however I can't confirm. There are four numbers on the jacket spine 3491. The cover is in my profile. Thank you.

This may very w..."Neither. The two editions currently in the system are 1971 & 1972, so you'll need to create a 1978 edition (I'm trying to find the corresponding ISBN, but haven't yet).
I just realized that it is from 1971. I made the mistake because I was going to read Lawrence Sander's The Sixth Commandment which was published in 1978. My bad.

My bad."I guess that explains why I couldn't find the ISBN anywhere! But it needs a new edition anyway; the 1971 Dial Press edition is ISBN-less and isn't in the system yet.
And it has 236 pages according to Worldcat, Laura.

Should I create it even though we don't know the ISBN?
Aren't librarian superpowers great? ;)When you create the new entry, you should also attach a librarian note mentioning that the edition doesn't have an ISBN; otherwise, there's the possibility that some other librarian might delete it thinking it was a duplicate/invalid entry.
Edit: Whoops, looks like we posted at the same time. Yes, go ahead and add it; it's a valid edition, just be sure to note that it doesn't have an ISBN.

Edit: I found the cover on the publisher website and added it. For future requests please keep in mind that Amazon and other booksellers are unable to be used legally for data. (Although if the publisher sells from there site it's OK.)

Personally scanned images are best. Publisher's sites and author's personal websites are also great. Library sites, blogs, forums, and other such non-commercial sites are also acceptable as long as there is nothing to imply they've stolen the image (no Amazon logo, no hotlinking, etcetera).

Are you sure those ISBNs match? The Harper Collins page lists the ISBN13 as #978-0-00-738415-0.
ETA: That ISBN is listed here, I just found and combined it and added the cover you linked to.

Hi,Currently, the Kindle version of my book, Pike's Quest (ASIN B005SJKX5K)shows the old cover as a default, with the new cover (which is on both the paperback and the Kindle versions) as an alternative.
The new cover appears here - http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/15... . Can this please be used as the default? By all means, show the old one as an alternative.

We unfortunately have no control over which book appears in search or on the author page. The edition that has been added by the most users is the default edition. As more people add the new edition it will become the default (people usually like to add the edition with the same cover they have).
Hmm, thanks. Don't suppose it possible to delete the original cover image, is it?
Many users prefer to shelve the cover they have read/own, so we don't remove cover images from books.
