Darren Humphries (darrenhf) | 6903 comments The book is Ignite's project so everyone else shut the heck up!

How's that for civilised debate Patti?

Aw shucks, I misspelled the penultimate word of my first sentence.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Yes you did.

It's spelt feck.

message 703: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Or is that spelled?

Spelt is a fish isn't it?

Janet should know.

message 704: by Tim (new)

Tim | 8539 comments Spelt is the irregular form, and spelled is the regular. Both are acceptable in Real English. Some countries may differ...

Me, I like my irregular verbs ;)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Me too. Battered and deep fried.

Tim | 8539 comments antiinterested?

Why don't you think the contest entries would be suitable, Pat? Perhaps you're seeing something that I'm not. Of course nothing that a writer hadn't agreed to would be included.

The thought was it would make it more of a scrap book not a proper reading book. If you wanted to publish the contest winners then why not a small book explaining it all and the inspiration we got/get by taking part. Would make more sense to me than trying to fit them into a collection of stories and poems. But perhaps I have it all wrong, wouldn't be the first time.

Michael Brookes (technohippy) For what it's worth I quite like the title, it stands out as something different.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Actually Pat, that makes good sense.

We could do that every couple years or something.

Well, unless the world comes to an end as Simon keeps saying...

The Canadians would be WHAT?

No. Seriously. Where did we get this reputation?

Yeah, okay. We are polite. But don't ever feck with us. Cuz we will very politely not put up with shit.
Sorry. :)

D.M. Andrews (author) Andrews (dmandrews) | 1551 comments I tried writing something today. Didn't get very far. I think it's the sun. Can't write when it's bright and/or too warm.

I'm an Autumn-Winter-Spring writer. It's a fact I have to face. Still, not long now :)

message 734: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Nearly Autumn Darren. (Smiley face - I love your writing!)
