Help with an Author Q&A

Alright y'all, I've decided to spice up my blog a bit by adding a few new things. One of these is the occasional Q&A with an author. Only thing is: I cannot for the life of me, come up with any questions! Help please!

Hmm, true.... What about basic questions, that I could possibly tailor to suit the author?

I would be interested in asking about their writing processes, planning the book and rewriting

I find it really hard to come up with original interview questions. One of the things I do is google the author and read whatever has been printed about them, that usually sparks something. Personally I try and keep the number of questions to 8 and I ask 2 general questions, 4 book specific questions, 2 personal questions.
Of the 8, I almost always ask some variant on where the inspiration for that particular book came from, what books they like to read/recommend/currently reading and my own little personality quiz
