In the future where individuality is frowned upon, one young man dares to look under the mask of his GF, which is forbidden. There are 6 choices of mask for males and 6 for females and everyone must wear one. The theory is so no one is envious of another's beauty, nor do they feel insecure for a lack of beauty. Clothing, food, housing, all the same, to eliminate strife and have a peaceful existence.
He is asking question and acting in odd ways to those around him. He has to go for a treatment, which consists of him going back in time and living the life of a young male Jewish violinist during the time of persecution, maybe 1700s?
