Were you surprised to find out all oils (even olive oil that's marketed as "healthy") are actually bad for you?

Susan | 19 comments I wasn't surprised because I have been very interested in this topic. However, it has DEFINITELY reinforced my decision to become plant-based on added oil.

Roxanne V (RoxanneV) | 15 comments Actually I was surprised and after I read this I had dinner at Swiss Chalet, and had a baked potato with salsa on it, and my mom asked me what I could eat, she listed a whole bunch of "vegan" things then asked about oil. Well, poop hit the fan! I am being brainwashed now! LOL

Beth | 3 comments I have never understood the "healthy oil" thinking. I thought this long before I started eating plant-based. It's the companies and their advertisers of the "healthy oils" that's doing the brainwashing!

What kills me, though, is that doctors buy into this and encourage the use of "healthy" olive oil as part of a "Mediterranean Diet." I hear it all over -- TV (Dr. Oz, The Doctors, the news, etc.), in magazines and newspapers.
