Hey hey!
Well, my name is Tomás and I'm 21. I'm from Cork City but I'm in Australia at the moment on a working holiday. I study at UCC and try to do a bit of work too when there's any going. I read a fair bit and discovered this site the other day when I went googling book reviews. My favourite author is probably Bret Easton Ellis and I'd say my favourite Irish author is Frank O'Connor although thats subject to change because I haven't really read that many Irish authors yet really. And thats why I'm here I suppose; to discover some new Irish authors, to get off my arse and read some books that I know I should've long ago, and to have a bit of a laugh.

Hi, Tomás. Welcome to Goodreads Ireland. I'm quite a bit older than you but I'm back at college and just starting my summer break. If you want recommendations for Irish authors you've come to the right place. All of our folders are left open to members, so feel free to open a new topic if you want to ask for help and advice. I recommend doing so in the general folder. You'll find that our members will only be glad to help. I've read quite a few Irish authors myself, but I haven't had the pleasure of Frank O'Connor. I'll be sure to check him out.
