april I dont really know who should be percy theres alot to choose from

Hannah I think Logan looks the part, but he's not the right age for the first couple of books (but none of them are)

Erin yeah. it would have been perfect if they had filmed it five years ago with him.

Kaylynn Eiler YES!!!! He's Hot!

april I think Percy should be someone who can flip.... like billy unger or something

Jessica I don't think it really matters anymore the movies aren't going along with the books.

Maddy Sloma (Wierenga) they should just redo the movies, start over

Augusta I heard that because of the last movie being so badly done, they are going to make that the prophecy is going to be 21 instead of 16. That's just what I heard :)

Megan If the director(s) want to be faithful to the books, then a new Percy should be picked. Logan is way too old for the role now. I don't have any particular actors in mind as to who should be the new Percy, but he should definitely be/look Percy's age and be a good actor too.

Maddy Sloma (Wierenga) Exactly

Augusta Yah and I didn't like the Annabeth they chose at all.Plus she kind of took on the role of Clarise, but they're to need Clarise for this movie!

They do its Leven Rambin, who played Glimmer in The Hunger Games.

Maddy Sloma (Wierenga) Thats not to bad, but she looks a bit too old, thats just my opion

Logan Lermans not bad, just I wish the person who was in charge of picking the cast had actually picked somebodya round the age of 12-14 years old. not 18-27 years old

But they purposely aged the character. At the start of the books Percy was about 11 and in the movie Percy was 17. I think they aged the three main characters because probably they want it to appeal to teens more than children. The dialogue and wisecracks was more mature, and they want the three to be driving across US so they need to be old enough to have a license!
When they made the first movie Logan was also in that same age so there's no problem with that. The movie was made after a few years though so Logan has aged a bit; but he is boyish-looking enough to be able to pull off being a 17-year-old.

Jazz I really didn't like Logan Lerman's portrayl of Percy. Mainly, because his acting sucked. And seeing as to how that's still the only movie I've seen him: No, I don't think Lerman should play the part.

I'm still strongly in favor of a complete reboot of the series, starting with picking young kids around the age 12-14 to play the characters. Even if you look past the fact that the movie left out a great of the book (and the most important parts to boot), the movie was still just okay. It didn't rake in $250 million. That's rather bad when you look at the fact that young adult book adaptation are supposed to be a huge box-office draw.

Doing, that actually took a lot of the most fun parts of the book out of the movie. Besides, many teens and young adults today still pour into the theaters to see movies that are supposedly made for children. So, that actually would not have been a problem.

I completely agree with you on this one. I actually watched the movie first before reading the book and I was actually surprised to discover that the book was such a hoot!

Um, I'm not sure about that one. Percy Jackson series unfortunately is not as popular compared to Harry Potter so it doesn't have a massive fan base (young, teens, and the not-so-young) which the producers could count on to watch the movie no matter what. And if you're a teenager who is not a fan (or even aware) of the book going to see a "kid" movie about Greek gods and goddesses is not what you can call a "cool" activity. I'm not sure it could be something you could tweet about or post on Facebook.

It worked for Harry Potter because it so massive already when the first movie opened but with Percy, I don't know if it could survive if it started as a "kid" movie.

Jyoti Yeah! Logan is perfect for Percy!
He is so hot and he fits the role perfect!
