Anyone else tired of this? Or, more specifically, anyone else married, have a significant other who also enjoys video games, who happened to notice that a certain video game device (Nintendo 3DS) suddenly came out in a different, freakin' color?

**bangs head on desk**

I bought her a pink one (from book 2 royalties!), to which she likes it a lot, but last Sunday I made the mistake of handing her a Walmart ad and she noticed that they now have released the 3DS in her favorite color: purple. !!!!!!!

I tell you, this is almost as bad as George Lucas constantly tweaking the Star Wars movies and then rereleasing them in theaters, video stores, etc. So now I get to take my wife down to Gamestop, which has 1 purple one left, and see about picking this thing up for her. Fortunately for me, I have Gamestop willing to accept in trade the old 3DS for $100. Plus, I'm gonna check to see if I can get her to donate her pink DS as well since she never uses it.

Yeah, what can I say? I spoil my wife and love every minute of it. :) I learned long ago. Happy wife = happy life!

I could also trade in my N64, Game Cube, Nintendo Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, or any number of other consoles lying around. Problem is, they probably aren't worth much. Might have to keep a hold of them. Nothing beats Mario 64!

Naturally, I can't touch my Xbox 360. I wonder if I can trade in my old Rock Band 1 instruments? :) Might get this new purple gizmo for free after all...

Nope, wasn't worth trading any other systems in. So I traded the pink 3ds in for the purple one. Wife was thrilled. What can I say? Apparently I'm a pushover when it comes to my wife. :)

I had one of the Nintendo handhelds, but I never really played it. I think I lent it to a friend and never saw it again lol.
