I'm curious whether anybody other than Carl stopped reading this book before the end?

I loved the book. I admit I haven't been reading the thread. I read the book some time ago. Now I'm going to read the thread and find out what everyone thought about it.

I stopped reading so many times before this group read-I was determined to finish this time.And I'm so glad I did. The book didn't become really meaningful until I had completed it and it kind of came together.
