In other words, what subject, type of character, storyline makes you weak at the knees and turns your resistance to jelly? You can't walk away from that book unless it goes home with you for you to read it.

Jessica (studioeastrat) | 511 comments I love a snarky leading man. I have had some books turn into "all nighters" due to a witty and charming hero.

Auntee | 74 comments Storyline? Stranded, by weather. Preferably a snowstorm, in a remote cabin...

message 5: by Vicki (new)

Vicki (bvicki) I can't pass up a book about a bodyguard. :)

Love the alpha, protective heroes, military men, cops/FBI, bodyguards.

Ladymcbeth | 16 comments An alpha protective hero who is a shape shifter or a cyborg :)

message 9: by Nadine (new)

Nadine | 18 comments When the hero doggedly pursues the heroine and already acts as if she's his. Love that kind of chase until the heroine gives in.

Wan (wanwaddell) | 252 comments I love a super tough alpha hero who was trying so hard to impress the heroine by doing something sweet. He doesn't really know how so he awkwardly tries his earnest but messes it up at the end. I just melt... ~~sigh~~

That sounds like Tiago in Storm's Heart. :)

Wan (wanwaddell) | 252 comments I've read Dragon Bound but not Storm's Heart yet. Moving it up the TBR then.

I'm enjoying it a lot.

message 15: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (laurenjberman) I love books in which the hero and heroine have shared dreams. This is the reason that I kept on reading Slave to Sensation even when I was on the verge of giving up and I'm so glad that I did.

I put off reading STS for so long, and I am so glad I did finally! Love the series.

the humor at them trying to impress yet making a mess or fool of themself makes for great reading. Part of what I like most about the Argeneau series by Sands is the guys acting like idiots for their lady. In the series they often stop eating food because it starts to bore them, but when they meet their mate they start eating again, but sometimes they forget what they used to like or what was being served when they were eating is not anymore(if it's been 50 or 100 years since they ate), so they are like bumbling idiots trying to figure out what they might like and trying to get the girl, and his family can now read his thoughts (usually the younger ones cannot read the thought of the older ones) and they're snickering at him about it, and he's acting like a high school kid.
