I love the relationship between Bryant & May. Bryant is really one of a kind, but the books just wouldn't be the same without May. I think May is Bryant's straight man, in a comedic sense.Certainly with Bryant, Christopher Fowler is a genius as when I'm reading the books I can always imagine Bryant as a living and breathing person!
Well, the ending wasn't what I suspected at all! I really didn't see that one coming which meant I loved it! So many books have such predictable endings that you can see them coming from chapters away but with this one I didn't have a clue. As I said earlier today, I'm going to have to look into getting my hands on the other books from the series now so Thank you again for introducing me to Bryant and May.As for the relationship between the two, I really want to see where it leads, obviously seeing the past and present in the book you sent (Full Dark House) the way I did I know they become great friends and you can see hints at this from when they first meet. Such differing characters should work really well together and make for some interesting adventures!
I'm currently reading the latest book in the Bryant & May Series (The Invisible Code). I'm only a few chapters in but it's already had me chuckling away. Arthur Bryant has to be one of my all-time favourite characters!
