message 466: by Ellese (new)

Ellese (faithfulumbrella) | 33 comments Haven't been able to read much lately, but I did finish Frost Burned (Mercy Thompson #7) by Patricia Briggs in about 2 days (despite working God-awful hours) and will start Mountain Echoes (Walker Papers, #8) by C.E. Murphy soon.

Still working on Some Girls Bite (Chicagoland Vampires, #1) by Chloe Neill (although I am almost done...about 90 pages left) and working through Dime Store Magic (Women of the Otherworld, #3) by Kelley Armstrong

I have never had this problem before with finishing books, maybe I am just getting series overload and I want my main characters that I love (i.e. Mercy Thompson, Jane Yellowrock, Kitty, my favorite elemental assassin, a certain greywalker, and a few others...)

message 467: by Sophia (new)

Sophia | 28 comments Beautiful Creatures, it's everwhere now. That's okay because I liked it when I read it. At last, I'm going to see the movie with my friend tonight.

Right now I am reading Blood Red Road (Dust Lands, #1) by Moira Young . The plot is good so far, but the writing bothers me. It definately is different from what I've read, stylistically.

And still working on a couple others, which I hope to finish before the end of the month...lol

I had such high hopes for this one... in the end it just wasn't for me.

message 480: by Christine (new)

Christine | 130 comments Yeah. I understand. Thinking back on it it wasn't super amazing. It was cute, sweet, and good, but wasn't absolutely amazing. And if your standards are higher, I really don't think this one would have fit the bill.

My copy of Clockwork Princess came in the mail today. I'm itching to dive into it but if I don't finish what I'm reading now, I know with all the books coming out straight after I have on pre-order I'd probably have to go back & restart what I'm currently reading lol
