Mishmash Challenge 2012 (Offical Thread)
Ok, I had a dumb moment here. That is what sometimes happens when I plan books for one challenge and then suddenly read a book for another challenge. I forget to check if that book for another challenge can replace a planned book. So I updated earlier today because I had read 2 books. One for this challenge and one for the Choose wisely challenge. All of a sudden I had a lightbulb moment and remembered that I paid good money for the book for the Choose wisely challenge and that that was a task I still had to complete in this one and I could use that book also for this challenge.
So I read Secrets of the highlander for task 21.
Total completed tasks: 21

Total completed tasks: 21
Read To My daughter in France for task 1; Trackers for task 3; I'll Walk Alone for taks 6; Something in the Sea for task 11 4/30
I finished Mary Queen of France, Prophecy of the Sisters, Guardian of the Gate and Dark Side of the sun for tasks 7, 15, 22 and 22.
Total completed task: 29
And with that I will admit "defeat".
Since I have a snowball's chance in Hell to get an ARC, I will have to wait till it is 2013 to read a book published in 2013 and with reading that book complete this challenge.
Those of you who have a blog will get an ARC and will complete this challenge before me.
Not that it is a competition, but I enjoyed the "race" and I hope I gave at least some of you a run for their money. :)
Enjoy the Challenge and see you again in 2013!

Congrats Barbara. You definitely won Stage 1! And you won't be alone finishing next year... I will have at least 2 that must wait!
Thanks!
Yeah me too. I mean task 25 and the bonus task. No shame in that, since after all it isn't a competition, but it is always nice to complete the challenge first.

Even if I get a ARC for 2013 I still have to read all the other challenges, and we all know I'm slow :)
So you still have a chance!

I don't think so. Lauren F is right on my heels. So if she gets an ARC...
But it doesn't matter. I just wanted to scare everyone by reading fast.

Thanks. You made it touch and go at the end though and you probably win by reading an ARC, but it was exciting. And more importantly I had fun trying to beat you to 29 tasks.
Hi guys I'm having a hard time with No. 10 - Read a book where a word or words in the title is pictured in the cover image. Maybe it is a mental block but I am stumped. Any ideas??
Lol, no :) I just came across the Peaches book in an article recently, so I thought of it now, and then remembered that she has a bunch of books foods in the title, and they're pictured on the covers.
Finished the last 5 books for the challenge
No. 25 (Thank you netgalley)

I have swopped around the other books/challenges so much that it is just confusing so here are the books I read, feel free to check my original post to see where they fit.

I am moving on to the bonus!

But you're right at least it isn't flu season. I am very bad at being sick. I always get tired of it after a couple of hours and then I just get really annoying.
I hope you at least had fun at the arts festival!
