Bea,
I'm ahead of you (in years), and I refuse to believe that it will happen. In fact, what better protection could there be than the reading we all do, including pushing ourselves into new and different areas!

Susan, that is definitely why I keep trying to expand my reading..plus I am just interested in so much. But, I am getting to the point that I want to retire. My job is just too fatiguing and, besides, I want to spend more time reading!

I understand that! I hit the magic 66 this year, so I was able to retire at the end of the last school year. I still sub a bit, but no more lesson planning and grading to keep me up all hours of the night. It's definitely nice to have some time that's actually my own for a change.

Still listening to So Yesterday for square 115 (free read).
Read James and the Giant Peach for square 121 (free read).
Rolled 1.
Moved to square 122 (Coralie's task).
Rolled 6. (What a waste to roll a big # when I'm not making a move!)
"centaur - read a book with the word 'centaur' in the title or a picture of a man and a horse on the cover."
Hmmm ... that will take some thinking.
@Coralie: Would you accept The High King? There's a figure on horseback, but it's hard to tell whether it's a man or not.
The only other thing I've found so far is Updike's The Centaur. I've requested them both from the library.

Thanks, Tien & Sam. :) I'm tempted to go a third round but I've been neglecting my other challenges. I couldn't stop myself from picking a book that fit the shelf no matter what other stuff I was supposed to be reading. :)

When you plan to add a comment, to the right of the word comment, just above the box where you type in your information, you will see "add book/author." If you click on that, a pop-up box will appear where you can search for the title you plan to read. Once you key in the name of the book and click on the search button, choices will appear. Scroll down until you see the book you intend to read and then click the add button to the right of it. That will add the link.
