Sleeping with the Enemy: Coco Chanel, Nazi Agent Sleeping with the Enemy question

How much of this book is speculation?

I thought he proved Spatz a very highly connected Nazi, with some kind of pre-war and war-time assignment in France.

I don't think he showed Chanel as any particular anti-Semite. The evidence of her supporting Iribe's nationalist paper is not enough. Also, she was rich enough to live at the Ritz during the war... not sure where else she would go. It was her Jewish partners that Christianized Chanel... etc. I think most people would have journeyed to Spain, if they could to free their nephew. The transcript shows she offered no info. She was unfeeling to the plight of the French Jews--- but then --- she was unfeeling towards almost everyone else during the war.
