With lentils? I like lentil soup with bacon.

Yes lentil and bacon. And probably some minestrone too.

Patti (baconater) wrote: "Butter side up and five second rule, Loretta."Mine alwaysh dropsh bushter shide down and it takesh me hic (scushe me) a minute to get down after it and back up again. Scuse the typing. This vodka must be faulty, lol. Hic!
Patti, you are a bad influence. I'm gonna stick to wine. I'm good at whining and dining.
Tamara wrote: "Yeah, Good reads has been a waste of time for me as a new Author. I paid for an advert, which well, has drawn nothing so far, and the Groups seem well, I've never been able to get into them."I have spells of chatting in the groups, Tamara. Sometimes, I just don't have the energy (today, I can chat, lol). I haven't ever paid for an advert here - lol, I need to sell books to be able to afford adverts. There are a few threads where authors discuss which type of advertising worked best for them. Not sure where they are now, but keep an eye open, they are out there. Lots of luck.
Patti (baconater) wrote: "Fibber"I was eating some ... Guess what, Pattie? ...today and it made me think of you, lol. Lovely and crispy, it was, on nice fresh ciabatta rolls topped with avocado. Thought I'd say 'Hi,' since I ended up over on this thread.
Patti (baconater) wrote: "Bacon and avocado are a match made in heaven."Yes, they are. I have made a resolution to have them for lunch at least twice a week. I'd forgotten how good they tasted.
Gingerlily - Mistress Lantern wrote: "Oooh! I've ordered avocadi in my next tesco delivery on thursday. And bacon of course...."I suspect Patti has booked lunch with you already, lol.
I was wondering whether to try avocado in a smoothie, but didn't know what to do with the rest. I would never have thought of putting it with bacon. Can I still put brown sauce with it?
Jay-me (Janet) wrote: "I was wondering whether to try avocado in a smoothie, but didn't know what to do with the rest. I would never have thought of putting it with bacon. Can I still put brown sauce with it?"Lol, well I wouldn't - but I hate brown sauce, lol. Aw, go on, I'll close my eyes. Enjoy.
Maybe you could have an avocado and bacon smoothie - or..maybe not!

I think I will stick to peanut butter and banana smoothies.
Kath wrote: "Can't stand avocado. It's the greasy, soapy texture."Lol. Nothing like a bit of soapy bacon.
Kath wrote: "Can't stand avocado. It's the greasy, soapy texture."I had some once, tasted like putty.
Patti (baconater) wrote: "You two are doing avocado wrong."No. Avocado is wrong.
Someone must have put it in a food aisle by mistake.
Lol. I can't eat avocado or bacon or anything atm. Can't even drink a cup of coffee. I've just come back from the dentist and my whole upper lip feels like putty. Sigh. Another two hours to go before I get my mouth back.
Oh, I hate that feeling. Even worse, having a numb nose.I always try to sleep until the freezing wears off,

I have the numb nose too. Unfortunately, I also have an appointment to go to in twenty minutes. I think the numbness has spread to my brain, lol. I will make even less sense than usual - if they can work out what I'm mumbling. Oh dear, I DO need coffee.
Patti (baconater) wrote: "Oh dear.Try to not drool."
Lol, I can smile again. More importantly, I can EAT! Not bacon tonight though, that's for lunch tomorrow.
I’m in bits, my spaniel is in surgery for a mass on her spleen. She’s not been ill or shown any signs other than jumping on OHs knees for a cuddle, which is unusual as she’s doesn’t like being petted. She like to lie close touching my feet but really doesn’t like being stroked. Anyway she wasn’t right this morning and her gums were white so OH took her to the vets and they’ve done an ultrasound and she’s in surgery. I’ve just seen an ad from them asking for K9 blood donors and I’ve cracked. Big dog can’t do it as he doesn’t match all their conditions so he was ruled out.
