Maybe skip one and take some time to catch up? (not that I am going to recommend skipping Tigana...)

It should be easier now that we have a couple of weeks notice.
If you get behind and the next book doesn't look enticing. Skip it and catch up on the next one.
But if you want to read every book. Just take your time and listen to/watch the shows when you catch up. i.e don't listen to the wrap up show until you are finished that book.
I have the opposite problem. I have to make myself wait for the kick off date, as I go through books in a few days.

I think it's important to note that there is still a good amount of time left in the Hyperion month. It seemed like a lot of people jumped in on this one early and either had it read or had decided they weren't going to read it within the first week of May. I hope you don't feel discouraged, just remember that it's not a race.

I'm just waiting for the group to pick a monthly read that I haven't already read.
This'll be the fourth in a row for me.

Plenty of fiber in your diet eh?

I thought it might be a good idea to mix up that series with a few breaks in between because I was starting to get series fatigue. I got so many reading ideas from the group apart from the monthly reads that I just couldn't see myself wading through 3 more 1400 page novels just so I could get a Steven Eriksson Marathon Achievemant Award(one I made up) before getting to the novels I was actually interested in reading. And maybe follow characters I actually care about without having to wade through hundreds of pages of "bloat." Don't get me wrong, I actually like Steve Eriksson's stuff, but he is so exhausting to read - I just can't do it anymore.
Anyway, I actually don't have trouble keeping up - but I'm a habitual series reader so I couldn't help myself and finished all 4 books in Hyperion series this month. And seeings I'm not restarting Malazan I'm currently enjoying some of S.Siglers stuff. I'm tempted to get started on Tigana early but I know I'm going to be finished too early and by the time everyone starts discussing it I'll have to try and remember what book we're discussing.
Oh I like reading if you didn't guess already and I'm enjoying this group. Apologies to Tina - you probably hate me right now and would like to impale your straw doll to the tree of pain.

I think I'm gonna work it so that I'm finished the book by the kick-off so I can jump straight into the discussion stuff and spend the rest of the month doing more reading

Also, @Nick: fiber! Hah!
