So I was looking for a new Horror group to join not because I don't like this one but I'm looking for a change and trying to get more variety but after browsing the list of other groups I've noticed there isn't much! This Horror group has the most threads and members but if someone were to get into another Horror group well there aint much out there at all. There's the Paranormal Horror group or something like that but they dont let you spam(not saying we do but sometimes you got to get yourself out there in a certain way). Aside from that there's small groups and such it just gets me that there's no other big Horror group, maybe there is in a side topic like Gore, Creepy or something i'll check but overall I would say this is the official Horror group of Goodreads. Maybe with that you consider adding that as a heading? haha.

Justin, this group is one of the best for any Genre. There is a group here that is fun to talk with. I enjoy all the horror recomendations but I love the people.
I think this is the best horror group I've ever found. I've gotten some excellent reading recs here and have found a number of people with similiar tastes to my own.Have you ever looked at the horror groups at Shelfari?
They're ok, but not nearly as good as here.
I had a look around at various horror groups when I joined this one and couldn't find many which were active and had enough members to make it interesting.
Well, I guess if a genre group has a lot of members, those members aren't going to be very interested in joining and keeping active at a similar group; they'd just end up repeating themselves and I know from experience this is tiresome. There are horror groups related to classic horror and dark fiction. But, no, not another all-encompassing horror group. I joined this group back in 2007 when it was on life support and had an MIA creator and less than a hundred members.
I've looked at others and this is by far the best horror group on HA.
Who else would get credit? The other mods are clearly figureheads.

Believe it or not, Tressa. I have seen Recluse act the perfect gentleman. I know, I know. But I have seen it! : )
I like Recluse best when going for shock value myself, this polite side of him bores me...
I also preferred his other avatars.

Another thing, This group is kept active with dicsussions. Some groups seem to have so many games going you can't find a topic discussing books. Games are fine but shouldn't dominate the boards

Well I was looking because sometimes you want to branch out and pertain to the same audience but different people but other than small groups or medium ones with strict rules I found this to be the best of the Horror Genre. So this would for sure be the place for Horror and with new members always coming in there's still an audience looking for books to read.
Glad you think this is the best horror group, Justin. It's a good group of people, and the membership has exploded over the past year so there's always new faces, opinions, and suggestions to experience. I also looked at some other sub-genre horror/dark fiction/classic horror groups but I just don't have time to visit them. I'm a mod here so I can (viciously!) kill two birds with one stone.

yes I do like this group too!!! there are few other horror groups if any that are active on the net..shelfari is pretty poor..and it's nice to meet and talk to an active and highly intersting group of people here on Horror Aficionados :))
