Maybe in a distant future I'll get the paperwhite, my mom got it and it looks really nice, but for now i couldn't be happier with what i have :)

So, I use my Keyboard to listen to my books during the day and my Fire to read on in bed at night and when I just need the use of a tablet. My husband uses my Fire when I'm on my laptop and he wants to get on the internet. It's not as good as a computer but it gets him to the websites he wants.

The Paperwhite is better in every department than any eReader I have used.

I read from my ipod touch. But I'm thinking of getting a Kindle. Which ones do you guys recommend?

1 Kindle Second generation (loaner for sharing a good book with friends)
1 Kindle 3rd generation (my primary reading device)
1 Kindle without keyboard but not touch as my keep in my purse kindle.
Of course I also have the Kindle app on my phone & pc and dare I admit to having a Nook Color for Children's books.

it's so nice that can read in the night now
what about the Kindle Touch? really beyond the ipad?

A couple days ago I tried to load a library loaner to my table but it never showed up. Tried several times, until finally I checked the dropdown list of devices more carefully and it showed five tablet apps for me. So I downloaded the book to Betsy's tablet #5 and it worked fine.
Don't ask me what's going on. When I get a few minutes during a week day I might try calling Amazon.

I'm currently reading "In the Blood" by Steve Robinson. It's a mystery about a genealogist trying to track down missing relatives of a wealthy client. It's pretty good.

had to be replaced. At the time it was the only 3g available for Canada so we had to get him a touch and then they came out with a new 3g for Canada. i have a 3rd generation kindle but recently I got a paperwhite one. I thought I would love the touch feature but I miss the buttons on the side. I find it easier to just click the button on the side then using the touch because with the touch you have to take your hand off the device.

But I'm finding I like the Kindle app on my iPad best for reading right now. No idea why, to be honest. I've loved my Kindles. Maybe it's a phase.

My first ereader was the Touch. I still use it because it's the eink one and is small enough to carry in a purse. She's named Sara (after my GPS program's voice chick).
Fire HD 8.9 for the beautiful color and screen size. I use it to read mainly children's books, graphic novels...well now it's my primary ereader. She's named Anastasia (after Anastasia Romanov) or nicknamed Asia.
I'm willing to add to the family, but it depends on what comes out. I'm picky.
