I heartily agree, Meghan.
Erica, you have no idea just how geared this world and people's mindsets are for the right-handed. The word alone. Left in many languages means evil or sinister. But there is SO MUCH MORE.

I read somewhere else that left-handers live and average of 7 years less and it's attributed to all the adapting we have to do. Of course, I plan to live forever... but if I do have to go, I plan to go on top of Clive Owen.
A dork, a little maybe... even a geek if I try... definitely a goof... but NOT a square! Dull I am not! LOL
Nope. One of the reasons why I love Clive so much is that he is happily married and is the greatest dad to two little girls. Same for Eric Bana. I love good dads. I think that makes them uber sexy!
So I just finished up "Naked Pictures of Famous People" by Jon Stewart. It is so bizarre but really funny (if you like Stewart's humor). I could so hear his voice in every word. Now I'm onto "Heat" which is by some famous chef (I forget who). It was recommended by a friend and I have to get the book eventually back to him. Plus trying to finish both book club books. Oh and I have to finish "Executioner's Song" AND "Foucault's Pendulum". Plus "Memory Keeper's Daughter" for my other book club (which is meeting January 7 so I have some time on that). Thank goodness this club chose short ones!
You can say that because you're married. It sucks for us single girls. LOL But I suppose I like that Bear Grylls is a devoted husband and father, too... just don't get the girl choice!!!
I saw Stewart speak and then do a q&a in DC once. It was HYSTERICAL. I kinda want to get Colbert's book. Just reading the cover I literally was doubled over laughing. Don't flip through it... you might pee!
I'm just starting to feel better, so am anxious to read again. Will easily finish the Sedaris, then onto the Dickens and the book I just mentioned... but from there I'm going to have some fun I think! We'll see how I feel by then.
Y'all are a hoot -- I actually got to go spend time at the library this evening and totally forgot once we came home to check this out -- had good turkey soup to warm me up -- the bib was COLD. The bib also didn't have any of the books I was after so I checked out three totally unrelated to most anything I'm supposed to be trying to read.
LOL, sorry ladies, my guest was ready for bed, so I had to get her set up. Now hubby just got home. I guess I should get going, eyes are starting to get stingy. Ugh.
One of the sayings I use from GG is Miss Patty's Oy to the vey complete with the motions of the cross -- I have to watch which of my two dear Jewish friends I do it around -- but...
Nope. I loved it when I was single. I lusted for Clive like nobody's business until I found out he was this awesome dad. Then it was like "awwww". I don't know. It just changes things for me.And what is up with Bear? All the girls I know lust for him?! I don't get it other than he has a lot of muscles. And an accent. Is it the accent?
Dottie, just in case no one's said this to you in a while, you are awesome. And a hoot. God bless ya!
I think it's the whole survival thing... but really, I find him just absolutely dishy! The reason I started watching the show was when I was in Hollywood last January with my cousin she pointed out a huge poster of him on the side of a building... I was automatically in lust. He's de-lish!
I know we can't officially discuss until the 7th, but I am so enjoying Holidays. It's just a fun read and not difficult. Perfect for this time of season. And actually, if I want to finish Marley's Ghost before bed, I better go. We on the East Coast call this late.
Awww shucks -- my own two girls tell me fairly regularly that I'm pretty okay -- which is one REALLY awesome compliment from a mom's point of view.
G'night Erica.Thanks you two.
I was trying to figure out this Bear guy -- so I guess it's a survivor thing which I don't pay attention to at al, at all.
Well -- even if I got here late to the party, it was fun figuring out this would work -- I think it would be a good way to discuss a book in the future but maybe not a December book -- it's so busy for many people.
No-no, Bear isn't from the show Survivor, he does a show on Discovery where he shows you how to survive in different situations/conditions. It's a great show! But he's just so darn yummy! And he's summited Everest as well as done some other crazy things - like setting some daredevil records. Also, he was in England's SAS. He's a bad-arse survivalist with a sense of humor!
THanks for setting me straight on that -- maybe I'll check him out just to see what you two are drooling about -- ;)
Yeah, Dottie... one day a bunch of us ended up online at once and had so much fun "talking" for hours! It was a total blast! That's when we decided we'd try it!
Speaking of men and boys -- hubby just came in mumbling about live chat with "dead" (computer) people -- so I may need to hush also. This works pretty nicely truthfully.
G'night Michelle
You can say that again, you are lively indeed as are the GG crew generally speaking -- talk again next time!
