Conor | 56 comments Daniel Everett's Language: The Cultural Tool
Everett is putting out a challenge to Chomsky's theory of Universal Grammar.

Conor | 56 comments Started reading Everett's book yesterday, looking forward to discussing with other voters!

I hope the nominating/voting format returns after August's featured book.

Don't worry, the regular format will certainly return. August's featured book just provides an excellent opportunity to interact with an author. The alternative would be to have a featured book and one drawn from group members. While that's an attractive option, I'm aware of the possibility of over-burdening members with reading material.

Conor | 56 comments Oh I think it's a great idea to have authors involved so I'm by no means suggesting an either/or situation ;)

Sebastian | 1 comments May I recommend "The Forest Unseen" by David George Haskell. I did a review on my book list.
