Andy | 134 comments Once I've finished The Elegance of the Hedgehog for my home book group, it's my next read... Should finish it by the end of May. Strangely Connery's film 'The Hunt for Red October' gets a mention in this book.

Frank Coles (frankcoles) | 17 comments Loved that film. Especially Mr C's Russian accent!

Andy | 134 comments BTW, ITV are running through all the Bond movies on Saturday afternoons... worth setting up the PVR.

So far they've had Dr. No, From Russia with Love and Goldfinger.

Andy | 134 comments I learned a lot about Sean Connery, film craft and the business of films from this book.

It was more than a list of films (good and bad) and had themes of privacy, artist freedom and taking on the movie making establishment.

I'll maybe take off half a star for Parker's style, but Arise Sir Sean Connery is a really good biography of a diffident subject.

Interesting to know that 007 was as big as The Beatles in the 1960s... And we know what happened to them!
