Philip Whiteland | 3398 comments As I'm not remotely technically competent, I wondered if any of you chaps knew whether it was possible to place a book on Kindle for pre-order purposes, or is that just for 'proper' authors?

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments From other conversations in here, I think it's just for ...nope, won't call them 'proper' authors. All our authors are proper authors.

Might be worth asking amazon about it though.

Elle (louiselesley) | 6579 comments I've only ever seen it done if it's published properly. Nowt to do with the author, more so the method of publication. :D

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Yeah, I think you hit the nail on the head there, Elle.

Oh good. I'm having yet another clichè day.

Darren Humphries (darrenhf) | 6903 comments There is no way in the KDP process for a self-publisher to offer pre-order. I suppose that Amazon want to make sure that there is actually a product to offer.

Philip Whiteland | 3398 comments Thought that would be the case. My apologies to my fellow scribblers for intimating that we are not 'proper' authors ;-)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments I dunno... Darren can be very improper...

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Yes he sure can!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments You are The Darren. All others are imposters.

Some people have no idea of how to treat a lady ;-)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I was worried because my camera was in my pocket.

Naturally, you would be worried about the danger of exposure [sorry, sorry]

The same trough. It was dark, and they were fast asleep.
