I actually finished it around four months ago but decided to shelve it in order to 'forget' it and be able to do the editing with fresher eyes.
It's a WWII story that centres around a small squad of soldiers trumping their way through France but also touches on the role that women played during the war.
The fantasy story that I've been working on remains unfinished at around 16k words and I'll probably resume work on it once this book is out.
In other news I've rediscovered the delights of Danni Minogue's Who Do you Love Now? song from 2001 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y40VE...

I wasn't expecting such a rush, I might have to buy a new hard drive.

The editing of my WWII WIP is going far better than I thought it would be... so expect me to be begging for kind and beautiful beta readers in the next week or so!

Anyone interested in helping out with a spot of beta reading, please leave an email address here or PM it to me.
It's for a story set in WWII, is 50k words long, and centres around a squad of soldiers out on a mission in France. It covers the effects that war can have on those that take part in it and also touches on the role of women during WWII.
I'll be sending it out sometime around the weekend.

I am away this weekend. We've been roped in to assist at my niece's 18th birthday party. There'll be over 100 teenagers that we have to make sure don't get up to mischief. Yes, I know (most of them) will be legal for smoking, sex and drinking, but they are still school kids.
Since the venue is in the middle of nowhere, they'll be camping in the grounds. Rather them than me haha, I get a nice soft bed.

Lordy Lorks, I was driving myself mad with paranoia.

Hoping I can get into your proofing properly this weekend Mikey.
Unless I just sleep.

I'm just too tired to read properly right now. I'm barely managing an hour of TV of an evening. :(

I've had four beta readers get back to me so far (one came through about 30 mins ago) so you're not alone.

Been distracted by velodromes and an Xbox...
I've decided on a title and have found a pic for the cover though.

I've been reading The Storyteller. Think you'd be interested in it.
I'm reading it two or three pages at a time before I zonk out at night yet it's still interesting. Must be a decent book.

I've decided on a title - We Go Again.
Given that it's a WWII story, it's a title that fits in two ways. Firstly, it's the second time war has broken out in Europe against the Germans. Secondly, it's also the second time during WWII that British soldiers were being sent to fight in France.
With regards to the cover, this is the best image I've found. I probably won't use the entire thing - most likely I'll chop off the top third or so to use it for the text.
