Anne NEVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!

message 202: by Conan (new) - rated it 5 stars

Conan They need to totally redo the entire movie. one massive mistake was they killed the razac. Without them roran wouldn't of ran with carvahall. They left out some criticall parts of the .story line and some key characters

Annabell OVER MY DEAD BODY WILL THEY MAKE ANOTHER MOVIE!

Stephanie No, compared to what a disaster the first one was compared to the book, I wouldn't waste money or time on it.

Annabell agreed, but like my first comment I'd rather die than have them make a new movie.

message 206: by Brysen (new) - rated it 5 stars

Brysen yes they should finsh and I'm sorry to say but this is the first book ware i recognize that they can't show much cause its so big but yes a 3 hour movie
:)

Brysen Doremy wrote: "Compared to the book, the movie SUCKED. But then I watched it again when the book wasn't fresh in my mind, and i was like, 'Wow, it IS actually a good movie if you don't compare it to the book. I..."

100% TRUE

i 100% agree

Gabrielle Frith I liked the movie, but it was missing some of the crucial details in the book(like Solembum). I think they should make a movie that combines all of the inheritance Cycle. It would be great if they let Christopher Paolini help direct the movie/influence.

message 210: by Keely (new) - rated it 5 stars

Keely If they redid the first movie, then continued the series then ya I'd love to see an Eldest, (It is my favorite book) Also I think they should recast some of the people.

DEFENAE RE CAST

message 212: by Brysen (new) - rated it 5 stars

Brysen PLUS ANOTHER Reason they would be better is speshal effects systems we have now compared to than

message 213: by James (new) - rated it 5 stars

James The movie was okay if you didn't read the book. Same with many other movies: if you've read the book, the movie is typically a let-down. I don't think they can make another movie and expect it to do well.

message 214: by James (new)

James I believe that the Eldest should not become a movie unless they do a remake of Eragon that is actually good, but that probably won't happen since the first and only movie of Eragon was really bad.

Florencia I think they should. I agree when everybody says the movie compared to the book sucks, but to me the book and the movie are two different planets, and Eragon as a movie wasn't so bad so maybe it wouldn't be so bad a Eldest's movie.

message 216: by Owen (new) - rated it 3 stars

Owen Personally I loved the film... but I saw it before I had even heard of the book. After I read the book the spell was broken and I have to say it doesn't do the writing justice. That doesn't mean it wasn't a good film though and I would actually be interested to see how they adapted the rest of the books for the screen but I doubt I would be as taken in by them as I was with the first film without any knowledge of the book.
The Inheritance series is quite different to most popular books this decade and as such would likely make an interesting set of films altogether, which, for an audience who have not read the books, is likely to be new and exciting but, for those who have read the books the only way to spark real interest is to keep as true to the books as possible. I rather suspect though, that many many readers of the books series would watch the other titles simply out of curiosity.

message 217: by Ben (new) - added it

Ben The book was very good but I to was ashamed of the movie.Could have been better but instead was like watching Harry Potter without any magic.Just plain dull and stupid.

message 218: by [deleted user] (new)

Eragon the movie definitely needs to be remade before they start thinking of making Eldest. The casting and the story line the movie took was boring and anti-climactic. I think in order to capture the true essence of the books, film makers/writers should consider the possibility of two movies for one book.

message 219: by Ben (new) - added it

Ben You could make a case for making 2 movies for 1 book but,the cost would be a crazy amount and as much as people love the book, they've all moved on.As for me I'm only on Eldest and would give the movie another chance

Ben wrote: "You could make a case for making 2 movies for 1 book but,the cost would be a crazy amount and as much as people love the book, they've all moved on.As for me I'm only on Eldest and would give the mo..."

Yea, I agree, the cost would be outrageous. I personally loathed the movie, but that could have been due to my high expectations for it.

message 221: by Ben (new) - added it

Ben I had high expectations to!I waited months to watch the movie because would only come on at 1 in the morning. Then I got that piece of crap.I also hate the fact that they made it seem like they were going to make a sequel at the end when they knew they wouldn't be able to

Rebecca Lynn I think they should remake Eragon (but please keep Jeremy Irons as Brom *-*!) and then do the rest of the series too

message 223: by Ben (new) - added it

Ben Izzy wrote: "I think they should remake Eragon (but please keep Jeremy Irons as Brom *-*!) and then do the rest of the series too"
I would totally keep Jeremy Irons as Brom and definitley get rid of John Malchovich. If he's still alive!!!

message 224: by [deleted user] (new)

I think they should. Making one movie out of a series is just unnerving for me. Maybe it's my OCD, i don't know

message 225: by Ben (new) - added it

Ben #Arya is hot

One of the things that really bothered me was that he was blond.

message 228: by Samuel (new) - rated it 5 stars

Samuel go to youtube and watch "thebook was better:Eragon"

message 229: by Marcos (new) - rated it 5 stars

Marcos Antunez Yes. The first book was amazing and the movie was great, but they should continue making the movies all the way through till the last book

message 230: by Ashlyn (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ashlyn Uhhh...YES! I think they should make a movie out of the book "Eldest".
A. because I loved the book
B. I really think they should continue the series. You can't just start making movies for a series and then just stop. people are gonna get mad.
But, that's just my opinion.

message 231: by Anne (new) - rated it 5 stars

Anne NOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they really shouldn't...
because the first movie did not lve up to the book at all

message 232: by Karl (new) - added it

Karl No way they need to redo Eragon before they even think about Eldest I mean the only good character in the movie at all was Brom I mean look at Murtagh's scar aka a scratch and where's Arya's pointy ears for gods sake and since when did Durza have a smokey piece of shit to ride on come on this is just stupid if they want an Eldest movie they have to redo Eragon and that's final

Kristine Kohut They'd have to start the movies from scratch. The Eragon movie is so far from the book. If you watch the making-of video where they interview the director, he was an arrogant fool who wanted to change things up...he said things like, "I didn't want to make my elves like everyone else, so I didn't give them pointy ears. And I didn't want to make the dwarves small." Well, duh. So we couldn't really identify dwarves in the movie! And they cut out characters in the movie who are incredibly important to later books.

I actually saw the movie in the theater before reading the books. As a stand-alone, I liked the movie. But once I got into the books, I could see why the book fans hated the movie.

message 234: by Tony (new) - rated it 5 stars

Tony Smith There were problems with the first movie, however they can make up for them as they continue the series. In Eragon the main characters were Sapheara, Eragon, Murtag, Arya, and Brom. the rest were not involved until Eldest. yes we meet them in Eragon but they didn't add to the story until Eldest. Yes I think they should finish the series.

message 235: by Leah (new) - rated it 5 stars

Leah The first time I read these books I loved them, but when Inheritance was released I tried to re-read them. But I have to say, I think those books are terrible.

Without taking the books into consideration I thought the movie was actually a well made movie. Its not the best but passable and I think it would have been a good series if they had continued. Now that its been so long since they made the first one I think they are better off remaking it with a new cast.

Satheesh Movie was not upto the mark. Before making Eldest as movie a reboot is required. May be making it a series similar to GOT will be nice.

message 237: by Tink (new) - rated it 4 stars

Tink They missed out way to much in the first movie it wouldn't work to make the second movie

message 238: by Erin (new) - rated it 5 stars

Erin Odendaal I totally love the series of books, and I'm a little old fashioned, I'd rather read than watch the movie. it leaves my imagination happy, because I get disappointed when the characters aren't the same as in the book. So if they want to make a movie they should do it right, not half heartedly

message 239: by Hannah (new) - rated it 5 stars

Hannah the books were so good and i have read them 9 times over but the movie?????????????

I mean, how can they make such a bad movie out of such good books?

they gotta re do the Eragon movie coz that was sooooo bad!

message 240: by Linda (new) - rated it 5 stars

Linda Lou The books are amazing. The story is great. Each book relies so much on detail from the last book. It is all needed to get the whole story. In order to do movies for the other books, Paolini would have to buy back the movie rights and start all over. I am thinking to do it justice it would probably take two movies or three per book. Perhaps this one may have to remain on the pages for the Eragon fans to reap from.

message 241: by Emily (new) - rated it 4 stars

Emily Brent I thought that the movie Eragon was not okay. the producers did a good job on Saphira, but other than that, the movie didn't follow the story line. I heard that the first movie was so horrible that they didnt even bother making a second one. I don't think that they should make a movie of eldest, its my favorite book in the series. I don't want some movie producers to ruin it...

message 242: by Hannah (last edited Jan 18, 2015 08:49AM) (new) - rated it 4 stars

Hannah Kelly They need to reboot the entire series. The first one was waaay off and the main actor and Arya were completely wrong. Murtagh, Saphira and Brom were the only good characters.

message 243: by Caleb (last edited Dec 31, 2014 09:46PM) (new)

Caleb Wood The only real problem I had with the movie compared to the book was how they casted Arya as a blonde/red haired woman opposed to the dark hair. I wish someone would try again with the movies from scratch.
I think that when the movie came out it wasn't known well enough. I think that they could have promoted the series better.

message 244: by Brandilyn (new)

Brandilyn I enjoyed the book Eragon far more than the movie. The movie striped out much of the best part of the story. It was also a low-budget production. I would like to see the entire series done with a film producer who can really bring it to life. With the computer animation and filming effects available today, it could be a great movie sequence!

message 245: by Susan (new)

Susan Bland Yes they should be anothermovie u just cant end it that way leave us hanging like that its not right we have to whats going on with the elder dragon and savera

message 246: by Susan (new)

message 247: by Hannah (new) - rated it 5 stars

Hannah @susan
If you read the series, you will instantly hate the movie- seriously
Sorry to bust your bubble!
