Each month you read a book with authors first or last name starting with the letters of the current month, for example M A Y, choose an author like you could choose H.P. Mallory for M.

PepperP0t so would this be 8 books for december?

message 3: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes, I'm pretty sure that's how it works, the end of the year is definitely going to have alot more books!

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

Katrina I was wondering if I could make a suggestion for this challenge. Because some months would require so many books perhaps we can do a theme and require 3 books each month. Themes could be anything from specific types like Dragon shifters, time periods, specific authors, books from the group's library etc. or just general like shifter books, vampire books etc.
Just a suggeston.

message 10: by PepperP0t (new)

PepperP0t I like Katrina's suggestion

message 11: by Kelly (new)

Kelly Bostic (Bookworm4388) | 155 comments yeah Katrina does have a good suggestion really it could be good to maybe have it as an either or deal. like you either read a book with authors first or last name starting with the letters of the current month or read a certain number of books that fit the theme for that month.

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

I think thats a great idea. We can just change the challenge rules. I will alter it. Thank you!

Katrina Monthly Challenge General Rules:
Revised: 6/6/12

1. Books to meet the challenge must be read within the posted time frame per challenge.

2. All formats are accepted including short stories, audio books, rereads and anthologies (the entire anthology needs to be read to count.

3. You do not have to post the books before they are read unless the individual challenge requires it.

4. You may post books you’ve read before you accept the challenge as long as they were read within the challenge’s timeframe.

• Occasionally one or more of these rules will be waved or altered for a specific challenge. All specifics for the challenge will be listed in the challenge.
• If you have any suggestions please post here or PM me. The number of books per challenge will vary depending on the difficulty of the challenge and to increase participation.
• These rules may change as the challenges evolve or as questions occur. See the “Revised” date for any changes.
