I was around hold 100 on July 27th when I first placed my hold. They have 34 copies.

WOW, see I don't think I would have the patience for that! Luckily Costco has been carrying them, so they have only been like $5, so I pick one up every time I have to go to Costco ;)
I am really enjoying the series. Yeah I saw City of Glass in the library and didn't get it because I didn't read the second one. that was yesterday. I went back today and it was OUT! But I forgot I put it on hold online and it was ready today :) YAY!!I'm 1/3 of the way through.. and I'm praying that certain things aren't true. I don't want to say more in case people have read it yet.

Kirkland had City of Glass when I picked up City of Bones but by the time I went to City of Ash the few copies of City of Bones were gone. It's highly irritating. I know it's the only hardback, but still.
I'm partway through the audio of Fool Moon by Jim Butcher and reading Fragile Eternity by Melissa Marr.
Shannon, the weird green cover called to me. I read the description...and promptly added it to the TBR if only for this:"And the spaceship he’s stolen to escape from a tentacled alien bounty hunter turns out to be filled with freeze-dried orphans. Reluctantly compelled to deliver the defenseless, fluid-less children to safety...
Will the orphans be rehydrated?"
HIGH-larious. Thanks!

Lol, no problem. The Stephen Colbert quote sold it for me.
"A science fiction book your grandmother will love–if she’s a lustful, violent lady."
It's a really funny book too. Reminds me very much of Hitchhiker's Guide.
Okay, I just picked up City of Bones and City of Ashes to read. Who has read these? and did you like them?I am also reading "Captivated" erotic romance shorts by various authors. Very XXX, I'm used to the naughty in my Sherrilyn Kenyon or Gena Showalter, but these get down and dirty. Not that I'm offended...more like intrigued,LOL.
Kelly wrote: "Okay, I just picked up City of Bones and City of Ashes to read. Who has read these? and did you like them?"Based on the books we have in common I'd say you will.

Kyle wrote: "I'm on to Ill Wind...I hope its good."I'm on the third book now and I really think the series gets better as it goes. So far Ill Wind was my least favorite.

Next week is payday tho, maybe I'll have to make a trip to costco to get them ;)
Well I'm putting Ill wind on hold becuz I just got blood promise :D but I'm liking ill wind though :D
I just finished Marked, and I'll be starting Hunting Ground and then probably Betrayed after that. Or I also have the Darkest Whisper by Showalter.
Those are the House of Night books aren't they Jess? I loved that series.. I know it was kind of cheesey but I thought it was fun! :) I'm looking forward to the Tempted coming out in October!:)
Jess wrote: "I just finished Marked, and I'll be starting Hunting Ground and then probably Betrayed after that. Or I also have the Darkest Whisper by Showalter."I look forward to what you think of Darkest Whisper. It's on my to buy list and I'm anxious to get it and read it.

There is no inbetweens. Lol.
Ellen ♥ wrote: "Susan wrote: "Those are the House of Night books aren't they Jess? I loved that series.. My niece is trying to convince me to give the series another try.
Well if you loathed the first one Melodie, then I'm guessing you won't care for the rest of them, as the writing and such is the same... I took them for what they were which is a YA series and just considered them a more fun read and a little different take on becoming a vampire... I personally liked them, but there aren't many books that I read that I don't like on some level... And you are right Ellen, there is not much in between on these, people either love them or hate them..... it's kind of interesting....
That's a good book Leslie. I'm reading several things. Just finished Ender's Game yesterday and plan on reading Ender's Shadow today. I also finally gave up on a first-reads giveaway book that I got called Rebel Yell. I'm also finishing Blood Promise, and reading anything that can possibly keep me occupied until Catching Fire comes out on Tuesday! As for the discussion on the House of Night series. I have a real love/hate relationship with that series! I really don't like the characters or the story that much, but something about it makes me want to keep reading!!! But, I think that I finally broke away. I never did read the last book that came out, although I do have a copy of it on audio book.
I read the first 2 House of Night and gave up. I really want to know what happens, but the writing just got on my nerves. I figure I'll pick it up again later to skim through.
I'm about to finish Hunting Ground and sadly I have to say it's not as good as I had hoped. The Alpha and Omega series just seems a bit boring so far.
Really? I loved the short story and I really liked Hunting Ground. Cry Wolf wasn't my favorite though. But I thought that this last book made up for that.
I just finished Hunting Ground and Darkest Whisper. I really enjoyed both of them. I'll be writing a review as soon as I have some time.On to the second book of HOuse of Night Betrayed. I wasn't all that impressed with the first book. It's not that I hated it, but I disliked the built in "lessons" That was annoying. I don't need an author to tell me it's wrong to do drugs and have sex and etc...
But the story intrigued me so I decided to continue and see how the other books turn out
Kelley Anne wrote: "Really? I loved the short story and I really liked Hunting Ground. Cry Wolf wasn't my favorite though. I read Cry Wolf this winter and thought it was just okay but I guess I had expected too much from Hunting Ground. It's not that it's bad, and I do like it, it's just not as good as I had hoped.

I didn't care much for CRY WOLF, so didn't expect alot from HUNTING GROUND. I was very pleasantly surprised as it had a really good story and now I'll continue with the series.
I tend to flip back and forth between urban fantasy and high fantasy. I recently finished up Moning's Dreamfever, which was another wonderful addition to that series, and have immersed myself into Geroge RR Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series (I know I know, wrong forum :)). Anyways, I just started on the second, A Clash of Kings, and I'm enjoying them very much.
I just finished Full moon rising and it was amazing ! I read it in like one day. The think that sucks though is my library has the rest of the books on order so it will be awhile until i can get my hands on the rest of the series.

I think it gets better as it goes too. I'm looking forward to the next book coming out this fall.

Sarah wrote: "I read the first 2 House of Night and gave up. I really want to know what happens, but the writing just got on my nerves. And if I want to know what happens usually I just ask my friends who have read them, or read spoilers!

Starting Moon Called today!
Kelley Anne wrote: "I really liked Hunting Ground, it was better than cry wolf."WAY better than CRY WOLF! I'll be sticking around for this series now. But I'm really waiting for Briggs to tell Bran's story. That's the one I want!
I wish Bran could get rid of that evil woman he's with. Maybe that will be addressed in the later books!!
