Kelly Higgins | 105 comments I voted for The Magic Pudding, The Power of One and Seven Ancient Wonders by Matthew Reilly. I thought it was a bit disappointed that Henry Lawson-The Loaded Dog and John Marsden weren't on that list though.

Neil Haines | 69 comments Had to enter these 2 books, as they just read so well and complement each other. Adam's Empire by Evan Green Kalinda by Evan Green

Neil Haines | 69 comments Brenda wrote: "Oh Neil...I love Evan Green's books. I have them all!"

I inherited all his books but one Clancy's Crossing by Evan Green from my grandpop, read them all, now my wife is into them, but she was interupted by 50 shades of grey trilogy recently!

message 25: by Brenda, Aussie Authors Queen (new)

Brenda | 79967 comments Mod
Will you try to get Clancy's Crossing? They're certainly better than the 50 shades ;);)

message 26: by Neil (new)

Neil Haines | 69 comments For sure Brenda, will be looking out for it at various 2nd hand book shops and Vinnies I visit during my travels around NSW.

I wonder if it's out of print...I guess so. Good luck finding it Neil...

message 29: by Cathy (new)

Cathy | 123 comments Did you watch the show? Marieke was in 'fine' form - very caustic - and had me leaping out of my seat, screeching when she said Jasper Jones had no place on the list!

message 30: by Brenda, Aussie Authors Queen (new)

Brenda | 79967 comments Mod
It was a great show Cathy, and yes she was:) Have a look at the First Tuesday Book club thread, we have all made LOTS of comments there:) http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/3...

I didn't think she was quite as bad as she usually is though?

She's the best thing on the show! Even when I do not agree with what she is saying it would be a boring show without her stirring it up.

message 33: by Brenda, Aussie Authors Queen (new)

Brenda | 79967 comments Mod
Yes, she seems to enjoy stirring the pot!!

message 34: by Elaine (new)

Elaine | 2001 comments I must say normally she annoys me but I found her quite entertaining on Tuesday night, although she did bag poor old Markus Zusak, saying the only thing good about him is the way he looks in a T-shirt. She was very cheeky!!

Phrynne | 15790 comments Mod
He does look good in a t-shirt

I wouldn't go so far as to say it would be boring, but she does entertain with her enthusiasm!
