10 Aussie Books to Read Before You Die
A hard choice, as I wanted to vote for more!!! But a long wait to see what the top 10 will be...4th December!
Yeh, I also found it hard to narrow down. I chose Picnic at Hanging Rock, The Secret River and True History of the Kelly Gang.
Just found this and voted for The Power of One The Harp In The South and The Book Thief. The list also showed me how many great books I have NOT read yet!

"I voted for the Power of One and the Book Thief too!
My third was My Brilliant Career
I voted for The Magic Pudding, The Power of One and Seven Ancient Wonders by Matthew Reilly. I thought it was a bit disappointed that Henry Lawson-The Loaded Dog and John Marsden weren't on that list though.
I voted for http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/23... Jessica by Bryce Courtenay. I can't wait to see the final list, I'm sure there will be many books added to me TBR list. My 4 year old son would vote for 'Where is the green sheep' by Mem Fox.
Brenda wrote: "Oh Neil...I love Evan Green's books. I have them all!"I inherited all his books but one
from my grandpop, read them all, now my wife is into them, but she was interupted by 50 shades of grey trilogy recently!
For sure Brenda, will be looking out for it at various 2nd hand book shops and Vinnies I visit during my travels around NSW.

Did you watch the show? Marieke was in 'fine' form - very caustic - and had me leaping out of my seat, screeching when she said Jasper Jones had no place on the list!
It was a great show Cathy, and yes she was:) Have a look at the First Tuesday Book club thread, we have all made LOTS of comments there:) http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/3...
She's the best thing on the show! Even when I do not agree with what she is saying it would be a boring show without her stirring it up.
I must say normally she annoys me but I found her quite entertaining on Tuesday night, although she did bag poor old Markus Zusak, saying the only thing good about him is the way he looks in a T-shirt. She was very cheeky!!

I wouldn't go so far as to say it would be boring, but she does entertain with her enthusiasm!
I have just been to my bookclub, and our book for this month (July) will be The Harp in the South Trilogy by Ruth Park ..#4 in the above list.
We are only to read The Harp In The South for the BC but I will definitely read the other two stories, if not this month, soon:)

I have read #s one, two, five, six and nine:) And I have #10 here which I have had on my TBR forever!!!
I haven't read 3 or 8. I won't be reading 8 because it does not appeal to me but I will give 3 a go at some point!
Anything by Tim Winton but I particularly loved Cloud Street, Monkey Grip by Helen Garner...oh so many!!
