Sorry for not getting this up sooner my mom has been hospitalized with pancreatitis. She is currently unemployed and has no insurance. Fun times!
I've only got 229 pages left to complete Washington: A Life by Ron Chernow. He is now the 1st President of the United States. I highly recommend this book for this group of people since we are tracking him.

I have not decided what I'm going to read next. Maybe I will read Grave Peril next. It has been sitting on the shelf for a while now.

And yes I broke down and started reading this book last night.

Actually I got the book as a birthday gift last year. A friend who loves and lives for these books got me the first 3. He is a big fan and one of those people that complained that the TV series of the Dresden files was not faithful to the books. I had to tell him that the reason that the TV series did not follow the books was the first two suck. Well the first one was terrible, the second book had good parts stuck togeather by one of the worst stories / plots ever.
But this third book is really good (so far). I hope this is a sign and any future gifts from that friend will not lead me to cringe. ;-)

I finally finished Washington: A Life by Ron Chernow. Excellent book. Washington was far from perfect, but he was the right man to lead our country. This makes me even prouder to be tracking his travels.
About to start Reading Lolita in Tehran by Azar Nafisi. It is for a book club. I haven't heard positive things but I have enjoyed books about book clubs.

At some point this weekend I'll start "The First Man In Rome".

If I should have an issue with it I'm hoping the library has received the latest from John Irving "In One Person".
The book club I lead is meeting on Sunday which is before the one I attend at the library. So I have put Reading Lolita in Tehran aside to read Notes from a Small Island. I hope I can get both finished before this time next week as I'm flying to Columbus, Ohio for the work week.

I enjoy series. I need to re-read John Jakes' Kent Family Chronical series again. I loved Dana Fuller Ross' Wagons West Series. It is always comforting to follow a character or a series of characters through their story.

Started reading Lizz Free Or Die it is not something I would normally pick up. But my mom got it from the library and I will quick read the book before returning it.
About to start reading Blackout by Mira Grant. I wonder if I will finish this one as quickly as Feed or Deadlineeven though I did not like Deadline as much as feed. I finished Deadline in about three days.
Finally finished Reading Lolita in Tehran for my book club tomorrow. I should get started on The Good War: An Oral History of World War II but got Divergent and started today and already 1/2 way though it. Great book! Looking forward to reading the sequel. I also got 11/22/63 and looking forward to reading it.
Also reading The Good War: An Oral History of World War II by Studs Terkel. It is one of those it is good to read a story or two then go on to something else. Great stories of WWII.
Just finished two comic book collections today - so I guess mentioning them can go in this month. ;-)
Finished
which was good if you like comics.
Then read
which is an excellent comic. The writer really got the team and personalities down. Since this was an introductory story it was fun. I really liked how Batman knew about all the other heros, but they often said "You are real?!" fun stuff.
Finished
