So I figure my friends here would understand better then some of my friends on facebook. I am the only one awake at my house and turn on the Olympics and the cycling is on. They are going through Surrey and then up Box Hill....my first thought for Box Hill was "that was where the picnic in Emma happened." Then I thought okay, maybe too much Jane Austen and then second thought was nope, need more Jane Austen!

Did anyone else Jane's picture go by in the Opening Ceremonies last night?

Yep, they had her picture and many other notable English figures near the beginning of the ceremony.

I watched the whole opening ceremony, and it was absolutely brilliant. :D One of my favorite parts was the Queen and James Bond! Priceless! It's good to know she has a sense of humor. :)

I'm going to be watching the swimming, which comes on in less than ten minutes. Go Phelps!

I was hoping that you ladies would be pleased to be apart of helping me figure out the perfect words to ask a certain gentleman out. I know, it's the gentleman's duty but he has an awful speech problem and he doesn't know quite yet that I like him much more than a friend.

Good luck with that! I agree, with Caro, be direct, and let him know how you feel. Maybe you don't even need to ask him out, just be the first to admit your feelings? :)

I am currently watching the wonderful and heart-warming miniseries: Tess of the D'Urbervilles and I am shipping Angel with Tess so very hard. Eddie is so cute and witty and clever!!!! I want him to be my boyfriend so badly!!!

Yeah a working golden retriever ;) which means they are a bit smaller in size, darker in colour and lighter in build/weight and they don't moult than the 'normal' retrievers or the ones you would think of when I say a golden retriever :)
