Resistance is futile . . .

Yay! for cookies! And don't worry, I'll be all flaily when the story becomes a vailable. I'm a little bit like that....lol
Good to have you here - and if you like Tanya, you really should read Lois Bujold if you haven't yet :D

*tsk* I would start at the very beginning - I hear that's a very good place to start, lol - with "Shards of Honor"
And while most of her stories don't have a gay MC, you need the back ground before you get to Ethan of Athos :D
Shoot, and I was just at the used book store with my daughter this afternoon, too.....I'll have to drop by there again next weekend and see what i can see. They have such a hugeginormousincreadible room full of fantasy/science fiction books. It, like, a happy place :D

I don't think you do actually. There is a character from the other books but I think she is sufficiently explained for E of A to stand on its own.

"That's true, but you miss the whole fleshed out universe that way, and who the Cetagandans are and all that. (Just read them all- I fell in love with Miles and his family from the first few pages.)

I grew up with Star Trek, TNG. I watched Star Wars when it came out in theaters. The FIRST time! lol! I'm a huge fan of Torchwood and Dr. Who, and Joss Whedon, and most especially Firefly....
I read a lot of Heinline in my formative years, and a bit of Orson Scott Card, and I have Tanya Huff on my to be read list, though I gravitated to her Urban Fantasy first and haven't made it back to the Sci-fi yet.
My first foray into writing sci-fi myself was fun and confusing and really, really interesting. It landed somewhere between gritty Star Trek and Firefly and will be out soon. If it gets a good reception, I might keep going. Who knows!
