I actually got lucky: the only copy the library had available was a combination of The Pursuit of Love and Love in a Cold Climate. I LOVED getting to know the Radletts, and I think reading both gave me a better appreciation of Cold Climate.
I'm somewhere between 3-4 stars. I had a devil of a time getting into it. I'm still not done, just 3/4 of the way, hope to finish today. I was about 1/3 before it started intriguing me. I also had the two books, but didn't read Pursuit of Love. Passed it along to another fellow reader.

And get Pursuit of Love back from your friend - I found it the slightly stronger of the two, and the pace is brisker. I know my taste is a bit different than the rest of the group's, but I do think you'd enjoy it. I already have the last book in the 'trilogy' on hold at the library (fun fact: the original edition of the last book has been missing from their collection from several years and they just - in the past month - put two copies on order. I'm viewing it as a sign that I was meant to read it.).
I too am rating it 4 stars. I thought it was SO witty and the characters were hilarious. Well done on those of you who read Pursuit of Love as well! I debated which to pick for the club but was under the impression that Cold Climate was the stronger of the two—perhaps the literary folk were WRONG. My library copy also contained both novels, but I barely pulled off reading Cold Climate before May 1st. (And I figured it was pretty important that I finished it, seeing as how I picked it!) At any rate, I’m definitely a new Nancy Mitford fan, and I plan on reading more of her stuff.
