Lovely moon, you move so silently, past the clouds and stars in the night. You are quiet and so peaceful, and your glow so beautiful and bright. How I wish that, I could follow, as you travel softly overhead. Lovely moon, you move so silently, as you shine your light upon my bed.

No, he's wearing a ski mask so he can't breath on me and he just beat me about the head and shoulders violently. :(

My mom wanted me to write a paragraph about why I love To Kill a Mockingbird so she can show it to this dude when she has jury duty tommorow. So I wrote up this- whaddaya think?
I have been asked to write down why I love ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ by Harper Lee- “Just one paragraph”. Well, it’s not that simple! I can’t condense my reasons into a few sentences- it would seem to be a crime against the creator of this literary masterpiece. However, I will try to write down my thoughts, starting with the obvious. This book is amazing. Yes, the racial tension part is the bit everybody talks about but it’s not the thing that makes me love the book- although it is, of course, a very important part of the story. What I love are Scout’s little dramas- her meeting with Miss Caroline, her fight with Francis, Aunt Alexandra moving in and Jem and Scout growing apart. Many would file these under the one label of ‘Growing Up’- but it’s so much more then that. It’s Scout’s interesting and often hilarious road of life, and we’re along for this short piece of the journey. Somehow I can’t call that ‘Growing Up’.
I love Scout’s narration of the whole book. I couldn’t fully appreciate her childish and literal take on everything until it was no longer my own outlook on life- but now it is one of the main things I treasure about the book.
Harper Lee’s descriptive prowess is unparalleled in my opinion, simply because it takes me straight were she wants me to be, without any flowery nonsense or excessive adjectives. I know what it’s like to sit on a porch on a hot afternoon in Alabama, even though I’ve never been there- it’s almost like a distant memory, because I just know. She must be a genius. Atticus, Jem and Scout may be 1930’s fictional characters, but somehow I feel like I have known them- even though they haven’t known me. And somehow, the thought that not only have they never known me, but they never will, almost makes my heart ache because they are so real. I think it’s pretty amazing that a ‘city’ girl in 2009 could feel such a strong connection with Depression Era characters- it must be because the fundamentals of humanity never change. Yes, they use terminology that isn’t in common use any more and their opinions are incredibly outdated. But Dill and Scout transcend time and the changes of civilization, because they are, at their core, real. And that is why I love this book.

Yeah, I prolly won't hear about it if I do bad but...it's basically my mom trying to show him up, like 'lookit my kid' and I'm NOT smart, just occasionally clever, so...
haha, i'm only smart after 10pm... i get brilliant around 2am, though... at around 5am, i get rude. at around 9am, i get tired.

idk, I get depressed and anxious when I cross the line from being brilliant to being too tired. That's how I know. :P
aaahhh, true, but for me that doesn't come until about 9... see, from 5 till 9am is when you've gotta watch out for me, cuz i'm still brilliant, but i'm afraid i have not only no manners, but possibly no heart to speak of... i get rather snape like, if a lot wittier and sarcastic... i love me as a character, but i hate me as a person...
