Simon was nice like personality wisebut there wasn't much development into his character as there was with Derek. Derek's broodiness but also his "old soul" and how inside, he's tortured because of the kind of person his is and what he didn't MEAN to do-- definitely made audience more compassionate towards him, and just. I love Derek. So freaking much c:

Derek!!!! Duh!!! I mean I really like Simon. I want him to be happy and end up with someone good and He deserves someone special. He's awesome!!! But not Chloe. Chloe needs to be with Derek. Derek challenges Chloe, makes her into a better person and Chloe makes Derek into a better person, teaches him to look at things differently. So it goes both ways Chloe is better for Derek too.

Derrick! we all knew it was going to happen and when it did i don't think anyone was surprised. There relationship was so much stronger than Simons and chloe's. I mean it was in Awakening that i really realised this was forever. It was the slow and soft build up of a powerful love which you don't see in most books nowerdays, its all, i love you strait away, This was slow, powerful and deep. Just amazing
**MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS**I personally think she would go cute with Simon, plus he was the first one to hit on her and to take a liking to her. He was the nice one to her at first and Derek frankly didn't like her all that much and even starting hating on her when he found out that she didn't like his brother because he was head over heels with her.
However I don't disagree with her being with Derek because they also go good together. He would start to come with her when he changed because he trusted her and she helped him through it. They had sweet and funny times (and of course a lot of bad times).
So I agree with her ending up with either one of them (even though she ends up with Derek in the end) because I think she goes well with both of them. Plus, the one that doesn't get her can still have a decent friendship with her afterwards.

That is exactly what I've been trying to say. I just couldn't find the right words to put it together! But I do agree, either one would go well. I'm just leaning on Derek's side a little more. Personally, I feel as if there were way more Cerek scenes than Cimon scenes.

Derek may yell at her for doing stupid things, but it's truly because he loves her to death.... Simon just isn't as much of a ladys man in this case ;)
Part of every girl wants the guy that seems like a bad boy but deep down is a nice guy. That is exactly what Derek is. Simon just doesn't have that irresistible bad boy quality about him.

Well, I agree with you that Simon wasn't very characterized, but Simon still had a few perks: He was funny, there for Chloe, etc. But Derek and her were meant to be. It was just palpable ;)
