It's being held in November at Parramatta NSW, a couple of authors lined up so far but I want more before I commit - I do like the idea of it - Details here: http://www.genrecon.com.au/

I would really love to go to this but I have a feeling the timing is going to work against me! My husband has taken 3wks leave in December so we can spend Xmas with my family for the first time since I moved to VIC 6 years ago! So I don't think I'm going to be able to work in another interstate trip that will require him taking more leave... I'd love to go though!

Marg (margreads) | 23 comments Genrecon does sound amazing, but like Bree I am not going to be able to go!

Mark Webb (markwebb) | 3 comments Coincidentally I signed up for the early bird entry to Genre Con this morning. Looks like a very interesting event.

Lauren Keegan (lauren_keegan) | 7 comments I've got my eye on GenreCon too, but like Shelleyrae i'd like to see a bit more of the program before I commit.

Sally906 The NT writers festival aka Word Storm is scheduled to be held in a fortnight according to the NT writers centre - their website says they are are still finalizing the program. However a few tourist sites are saying June. So not sure what is going on. Think I might have to make a few phone calls :)
