Annette No one told me told me married life would be so __________________.

Ladyhawk | 381 comments OMG Jocelin! I feel for you!

I guess most don't have many regrets?! Re:post 254

No one told me married life would be so intrusive, demanding, fun, frustrating! Just like no one told me everything about pregnancy. Like that my feet would grow at least a half size and I'd have to throw most of my shoes away because they no longer fit me.
We can't prepare for everything no matter how hard we try, some things you just must learn through experience.

message 259: by Annette (new)

Annette No one told me married life would be like a rollercoaster ride .

message 260: by Ladyhawk (new)

Ladyhawk | 381 comments Marriage = roller-coaster! You ok Annette?

message 261: by Leea (new)

Leea Yeah, that's true!

No one told me married life would be: this evolving thing, we'd have to roll with the punches and learn to life with someone while we're changing and getting to know ourselves. Then you throw kids into the mix and you just better hang on. lol!

message 262: by Annette (new)

Annette Ladyhawk wrote: "Marriage = roller-coaster! You ok Annette?"

Yeah, I'm fine. I was stuck at home with my husband and 2 teenage boys for a week with no power. They really got on my nerves, but now everything is back to normal.

message 263: by Leea (new)

Leea I was wondering where you were? That sounds like hell, so glad you made it thru :)

message 264: by Annette (new)

Annette Thanks Leea:)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Sounds like a trial Annette!

No one told me married life would be one endless string of mishaps (not always bad, but still mishaps). If it's not one thing, it's another. As soon as you finally get a second car, the other one breaks down...stuff like that.

message 266: by Annette (new)

Annette If I didn't love them to pieces....

message 267: by Leea (new)

Leea Hahaha! I know the feeling.

Stacia, I totally understand. It's nice to have someone to share in the ups or downs with.

EEEk! That's enough to drive even the most steeled nerved person to the brink of insanity! I want to run away after one day at home with everyone!
Better hang on is right!

Ladyhawk | 381 comments Now that your feeling better Annette, I have another fill in the blank for you all. Heard it this morning.

The worst dish my mother ever made was_______

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Oh lord. More than I want to admit for fear that my mom might see this someday (don't know how, but you never know) and disown me.

message 271: by Leea (new)

Leea My mom never cooked... so theres nothing to complain about. haha!

message 272: by Annette (new)

Annette I loved about 95% of my moms cooking, but she use to make a chicken & rice soup with a tomato base. It looked like throw up. My mom was old school so if she made it you had to eat it, because she wasn't cooking anything else.

message 273: by Kit★ (new)

Kit★ (xkittyxlzt) Can't think of anything my mom, made, but my step-mom used to make all kinds of stuff that was nasty to me as a kid, like stuffed peppers and beef stroganoff and pea soup and vegetable stew. I was a picky kid lol, but I'm still not fond of any of that stuff. And they were the stay at the table til your plates cleaned type at that house, so it was rough. :)

Wow, my mom made the same thing but I loved it. Very basic soup though...it's mostly tomato juice, rice and poached chicken (I add a can of tomato soup to thicken it up a little and a bit of garlic powder and pepper).

My mom's problem was that she'd add random ingredients to dishes that didn't need them - like putting corn in something odd like tuna casserole.

message 275: by Annette (new)

Annette The soup tasted fine it was just the visual. Thinking about it still makes me cringe:/ Karma is a bitch, my son recently told me I make the worst Sunday dinners. What a brat!

message 276: by Leea (new)

Leea Now my MIL makes this Cheesy Spaghetti that is my husbands favorite. She used to make it when he was growing up because they didn't have much money and it's a low cost meal. Basically you cook the pasta in tomato juice and add a ton of cheese - it's disgusting!!

Last time she made it was in our old house in Texas and she made enough for 12 people. Once she left I just threw it away. lol!!

message 277: by Annette (new)

Annette OMG! My stomach just cramped. She could have just used the sauce and skipped the cheese.

message 278: by Leea (new)

Leea hahaha! I don't know... I wont eat it.

Annette I love a guy that can ________________.

message 281: by Annette (new)

Annette Make me laugh.

message 282: by Leea (new)

Leea I agree, Annette, I love how my husband has me laughing and a lot of the time at my self or at an argument we're currently having.

I love a guy that can be confident within himself to be loving or affectionate in public.

message 283: by Ladyhawk (new)

Ladyhawk | 381 comments " if you can make a girl laugh, you can make her do anything" - read that recently.

I love a guy that can be and is loyal!!

Annette Oh! My husband is a born leader and I think that hot.

message 286: by Leea (new)

Leea I don't often get to see my husband in his 'element' but when I do it's really hot, he's so take charge and his personality is very alpha.

Annette Dogs

message 291: by Leea (new)

Leea not reaching my full potential, not that I even know what that is anymore.

message 292: by Annette (new)

Annette Yeah, I always feel like I could be more. But more what? LOL!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I'm so scared of not getting out of the rut I'm in. I'm also so scared of never getting anything published because I'm too chicken to put my work out there.

Back on last week's...I love a guy that can 'get me.' It makes me happy any time my husband completely understands where I'm coming from. Sometimes it feels like our life is one huge private joke between the two of us.

message 294: by Annette (new)

Annette Put your work out there.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I want to but am stuck on the steps of getting an editor and finding a cover.

message 296: by Annette (new)

Annette Good luck. Believe.

message 297: by Angie Elle (new)

Angie Elle (angieelle) | 602 comments Snakes. Throw me in a tub of spiders and I'm fine, but if there's one snake within a hundred feet of me, I'm done for.

message 298: by Leea (new)

Leea You can do it Stacia!! We're all behind you :)
