Lacey Reah (laceyreah) | 8 comments I have learned that only people who have bought books on Amazon UK can like and tag books there. If you tag and like it but you didn't buy any books from amazon UK, it will not show. Same goes with UK authors who go on the US pages. A UK reader can like or tag a US amazon page but it will not show unless they have bought from the US page.

I am suggesting that UK authors post there US links and I will like and tag them if you tag my UK link:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/ta...

Stephen Livingston | 18 comments Hi Lacey, what tags do you want on your book? At the moment in the UK it has only one "vampires".
Best wishes, Stephen Livingston.

Stephen Livingston | 18 comments I've added the same tags that you have on your US page to the UK page.
Best wishes, Stephen Livingston.

Lacey Reah (laceyreah) | 8 comments Hi Steve,
That is weird. I could swear I added tags on that page. Perhaps it isn't showing because I'm from the U.S.? Thanks for your help!
I have liked all of your books. I also clicked "yes" on all the five star reviews and I tagged them.

Michele Kallio (michelekallio) | 7 comments Hi, could you help me with my new historical/suspense novel, BETRAYAL? Tags: Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn, treason, betrayal, dreams, Canada, Devon, New Brunswick

and

I will happily help anyone out on this side of the pond.
Thanks

Marjorie Friday Baldwin (marjoriefbaldwin) | 13 comments Hi Stephen, are you in the UK? And the only UK'er here so far? And of course, I have to ask, do I know you from Authonomy? I've seen your name somewhere. Maybe we follow each other on Twitter if not Autho?

I'm in the US and would love to get my tags clicked on the other side of the Pond. Here's my UK Kindle Book Page:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/tags-on-product/B007UQU3VI/

I've gone ahead and tagged Kindling, but I wasn't sure which of your tags were most relevant and I'm only allowed to click on up to 15. You should keep your tags focused anyway to get the best visibility. Having tags that are not relevant actually works against you when readers feel it's a bait-and-switch. Karma :)

I notice your books are all short stories that are priced at zero ($0.00) Did you have any priced for money that you might like tagged?

Joyce Shaughnessy (joyceshaughnessy) | 35 comments Because I made a friend and book buddy in Canada and U.K. on Shelfari.com, I have sold 140 H/B to bookstores in the U.K. of A HEALING PLACE and about the same for BLESSED ARE THE MERCIFUL. It was because of my reviews they gave me on Amazon.com I couldn't believe it, but I have been told that the U.K. has a 97% literacy rate, and the U.S. is much lower. Shelfari is definitely the way to go. There is a site group on it that has U.K. and American authors. That is where I first made contact. It takes a little while, but it works! Lacey Reah (laceyreah) | 8 comments thanks, Joyce. I'm a member of Shelfari but I haven't been there in a while.

Joyce Shaughnessy (joyceshaughnessy) | 35 comments You might like it. There are some people from different countries and th U.K. is such a good place to find readers. Are you an author? If you are, ask for a reading buddy, and you can exchange books, well buy their e-book or paperback. You can get a good review! thanks for the comment. Joyce

Thanks, Joyce. I've been trying to gain traction on Amazon by using Shelfari and have gotten a few people to copy their reviews over from Amazon US to the Shelfari site, but I can't seem to get the footing under me. I have great reviews and have been selling (slowly but consistently) but for some reason, Amazon sales rank (and Shelfari presence) seems to be eluding me. The slow rate of sales accounts for the lack of Amazon sales rank. What do I need to do to get the Shelfari presence to work?

Sterling Gate Books (sterlinggatebooks) | 4 comments Hi all, just catching up on this thread right now, tagging and liking the UK links provided.

Meanwhile, my international thriller novel The Ninth Orphan is currently FREE to download on Amazon Kindle. The Kindle edition will remain FREE until midnight Wed June 13 (PST), so be sure to download it asap if you enjoy thrillers.

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0056I4FKC
http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0056I4FKC

The book's Amazon page (above) needs a bit of love, so if anyone can LIKE some of the 4 and 5 star reviews and/or dislike the few negative reviews, that would be greatly appreciated. Not too fussed about tags, it's more likes for the title's positive reviews that I'm seeking.

Thanks and happy reading!

Lacey Reah (laceyreah) | 8 comments Hi Sterling,
I liked, tagged and clicked yes on the five star reviews for your U.S. page.
Again, when I like UK pages, it doesn't show but I can like U.S. pages. ;)

Marjorie, I have decided it is a matter of luck. My publisher, Xlibris, made a really stupid mistake and pulled A Healing Place from the Kindle site about two months ago. When I saw it, I have consistently tried to get Amazon and Xlibris has also, to correct the mistake, and Amazon now has me as the author of a book I didn't even write! It's scary, but if you can get a U.K. buddy by going on the Shelfari site and asking for one, it helps. That was how I got started. Go to Shelfari, U.K. and U.S. self-published authors, and ask for a book buddy. It means that you will have to read one of their books, but they will read yours. It helps to get your foot in the door in the U.K. (which has a 97% literacy rate) compared to U.S. (which is about 75%). Good luck! See you on Shelfari!

Leila Summers (leilasummers) | 6 comments Great idea! I have liked, tagged and voted yes on good reviews on Amazon UK for you Lacey, Stephen, Michele (added tags to your ebook as there were none), Marjorie, Joyce (added tags), Marilyn (added tags) and Sterling.

I would be most grateful for any likes and tags on my book on Amazon UK -
http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/146376359X
http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0062EIRAI (except for the irrelevant tags ‘stay at home mom’ or ‘secret life’)

And Marilyn, Canada tags for my memoir would be marvelous, you would be my first! My tags are - memoir, memoirs, nonfiction, grief, love and loss, depression, suicide, self discovery, death and dying, bereavement, inspirational. Thanks! http://www.amazon.ca/Rains-February-W...

Joyce, thanks for the Shelfari tips!

If you are an author, it is really worth buying something (anything) from Amazon UK so that you are able to like and tag your own and any other books on that site.

Michelle Booth (michellebooth) | 13 comments Marilyn wrote: "I should have mentioned I'm in Canada if you want tags from Canada."

Hi Marilyn
I desperately want tags from Canada! We have emigration plans. My Liverpool-born Dad was an engineer for Canadian-Pacific shipping line and I grew up with tales of the wonderful land over the water. It has left me with a deep and abiding yearning that just won't go away!
My children' book, 'Mo The Talking Dog' is a Kindle bestseller in the US but not in Canada. I'm told that may be because Canadians are loyal to Kobo. So I'm coming out of Amazon's contract in March and making it available on Kobo.
