I have read the book twice when it first came out, and once again this year. but not so sure if i should watch the movie.

I read the book a few months ago and went to watch the movie. The acting is good, but the storyline is different in many ways. It's sort of slow-paced. I think the book was WAYYYYYYY better.

Diana Costa book is book, film is film, book you imagine you create the history, in the film you see and enjoy a little bit limitated. But both or one are the way ...more

Aline The book its always better but I loved the movie. Zac Efron was really great. They left some stuff out but it is a good movie.

the book was much better, i was disappointed in the movie since it left out so much of the story.. unlike the notebook where the movie surpassed the book.

I haven't seen the movie, but the book as really good. Logan is my favorite character in this book.

Read the book, haven't seen the movie but plan on doing so soon.

i red the book and it was breath taking however because i read the book, the movie was a disappointment for me because there were section of the book plot that i believe was great and it was delete for the movie....best alway watch the movie then read.

It's ok but the book is way better. The characters were not fit for their roles. Logan and Beth has no chemistry at all.

The movie was decent but the book is way better IMO.

I enjoyed the movie and would recommend you to watch it. The book was better though, but it is almost alway like that

For me it was a case of the film being better than the book. But I think that about all Sparks novels-turned-film.

To put it bluntly the movie sucked, anything that was good about the book the movie decided to leave out and Zac Effron playing Logan was just a joke.

I liked the book when I read it, but the movie doesn't even compare. The acting is so-so and it leaves out so much of the story. Read the book, it's a much better experience.

I saw the movie after I read the book. I thought the book was really good. The movie was really good too. I believe that they were unique. The movie changed many of the aspects of the book, but it still made sense.

Altho there were many similarities between the book and the movie, there were just as many differences. However, I have to say I enjoyed the book better...was easier AND enjoyable to follow thinking of how "mature" Zac Effron played the character of Logan Thibault! :)

just wait till it comes out in DVD

I really liked the book. It the movie was just ok. Zac was so young and the actress looked way older than him. It was just ok for me,

The movie is really good (:
I was positively surprised by Zac Efron :)

Maybe I was lucky because I saw the movie before I read the book. Loved the movie to begin with, thought Zac was pretty good in the role.
After seeing the movie I wanted to read the book to be able to compare. Of course I based a lot from the book on what I had seen in the movie, but I dont think that was neccessarily a bad thing. Also found it nice that a lot of things were added to the movie by doing it this way around. I think it helped me love the book even more.

The other way around I may have been disappointed, but seeing the movie and THEN reading the book made me absolutely love both. I'll have to do that more often to not be disappointed by the movie ;)

Book in far better than the Movie !

The movie, staring Zac Efron, is not as discriptive and detailed so its good you read the book first. It can't hurt to see the movie! I watched it on my 15th birthday with some friends, after reading the book. It wasn't dissapointing, but it wasn't a must see. I was a little distacted by the age of the woman main charcter and Zac Efron though...are they the same age? She seemed older.

its very nice you will like it

I finally got to see the movie and I enjoyed it. I didnt think I would like it since Zac Efron was in it. He did a pretty good job and the lady that was on Trauma.

i didn't read the novel yet but i watch the movie it was amazing and zac effron was unbelievable .however ,i think that the novel will be better than the movie ,as usual in all novels which have been made movies.

I saw the movie before I read the book. I don't think I've ever seen a movie that I thought was actually better than the book; but I always like to see how they are similar or different. When the movie is pretty much the same story line, such as this one, but they leave out or change little details it just makes me appreciate the book better. I think of it as a special inside thing that only the people who take the time to actually read it can enjoy.

I loved the book. It made me laugh, cry and smile all at the same time. It was a beautiful read... Not to smash the movie, but I hated it. It was horrible. It missed out several of my favorite parts. I am glad I just rented it from RedBox, not saw it in the theaters.

The movie is a 50/50 for me.(zac efron won the whole 50) Of course the book is better but I think they potrayed the movie just right for me.

The Lucky One is probably my favourite Nicholas Sparks book. I loved it so much but I must say the movie was a bit disappointing.

I saw the movie first because it was by Nicholas Sparks and looked good. Then, I read the book and of course being written by Sparks, I was not disappointed. The movie was good and did make me cry. Big thumbs up if you are into Zac Efron.

The movie in my opinion did a really good job at presenting the book. Zac efron did a good job, not really who I would have picked but, overall he did a wonderful job.

I'm the oddball here, LOVE THE MOVIE!!!!!! Tried reading the book (my first by N. SPARKS btw), hated it and could not wait for it to end!!!! Almost didn't finish it. I have no desire whatsoever to pick up another Sparks book! Also, I have not been able to sit through the movie The Notebook but I loved the movie Safe Haven. Weird, I know........lol!

I read the book, I liked it better than the movie, because I'm not a fan of Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth. It's a shame, because it's a beautiful story :S

I thought the movie was good, although it did differ from the book. I agree with the other commenter that I wouldn't have pictured Zack Efron or the actress they chose as lead either. I've seen several movies based on books, to me, the book is always better.

The book is much more better than the movie. If you have enjoyed the book, you might get bored watching the storyline of the movie.

I liked the movie and I liked how they did the ending. But as always the book was by far better than the movie.

The book was so darn good, I kind of don't want to wreck it by watching the movie. But, I have it on my computer to watch someday when I get all caught up with my TV shows. I'm more addicted to the TV shows than any movie.

I liked the movie. But it's a bit different from the book, or as i think. Anyway the movie is amazing. :)

The Book is always better! But the Movies based on his books are still good. Just don't go in expecting it to be the same! See it!! :)

i recommend the movie! tho still the book is so much better! <3

Yeah the movie doesn't do the book justice, especially with Zac Efron as Logan thighbolt! :)
It doesn't really stick to the book, it uses the book's basic premise but it takes on it's own little story.
But it's always the same with the movie, so basically yeah if you watch it you wont be terribly upset with its outcome but it's not as good as the book.

I've watched the movie. .Zac Efron as the actor. .but I prefer reading the book than watching the movie

The movie is a HUGH disappointment. Don't watch just read!!

Seen the movie and liked it more than the book which is a switch. I had a hard time following the book

book and movie were both fantastic :)

Yeah you should watch it. Just so that you can compare the book to the movie. The movie cuts a lot of parts out, but that´s nothing new. I do recommend it, besides Zac Efron looks mighty fine hahaha not the Logan I would imagine by the description of the book but hey I ain´t complaining.

I felt that the book was way better than the movie. Similarly with Dear John where the movie was slow-moving. I wasted my time watching both... Safe Haven's movie was as good as the book though!

I saw the movie and was very disappointed. They changed the story in so many ways. The book is a lot better.

book 4/5
movie 2/5

read the book, don't bother with the movie, although Zac Effron is cute.

The book was amazing!! The movie isn't as good as the book but I still enjoyed it (:

Seen the movie, honestly it was worse than the book, didn't like either of them but the book was somewhat acceptable comparing to the movie which I kept waiting for it to finish.

Book much better than the movie, very different but I still enjoyed the movie
