Classical music is on my plate for the summer. Sting has been around since I was in elementary school. I remember he and Jon Bonjovi playing over the speakers in the cafeteria before school. What kind of society likes little tots to listen to "Shot through the heart and your to blame...Baby, you give love a bad name," on the radio before school starts?

3 emails in a row came in yesterday after this email, and after M questioned a word about M's. I need to research this letter. :)

1. Someone is posing as me on Goodreads and asking people this question: If you were an animal, what animal would you be?

2. I am posing as myself on Goodreads asking this question?

3. There is a roaming cat outside I would like to catnap.

Ryan | 5334 comments Cat! Hurry up and write a book would you?! I'm so keen to read it ;)

Number 1?

Whoops sorry!

Number 1?"

No, #1 is true. Skye wrote me a little while ago and said I asked her that question in an email. # 2 is the lie.

Thank you for your compliment. The same goes for you, Ryan. :)

message 957: by Nicky (new)

Nicky (soundgirl) | 1388 comments Oh?! that's a bit weird Cat, what will you do about it?

message 958: by [deleted user] (new)

Hi Nicky. Nothing I guess. I have no proof.

Nicky (soundgirl) | 1388 comments We'll keep our eyes peeled!!!

Ryan | 5334 comments Embarrassment:

1. I once flipped and trashed my 750cc motorbike doing a wheelie in an attempt to impress some girls.

2. I once tripped over a chair, fell flat on my face and made my nose bleed...during a job interview.

3. I once lost my board shorts while surfing and had to walk along a crowded beach hiding behind my surfboard.

message 962: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10110 comments Poor Ryan! Hehe! I'm going to say number two is the lie.

message 963: by Nicky (new)

Nicky (soundgirl) | 1388 comments Oooh, number 2 made me wince so I kind of hope for your sake, that was the lie and then I read No3 and that make me laugh too.
My little April is reading over my shoulder and thinks No1 - so that covers all of them!

Right make a decision... we pick.....

No1..?

message 964: by Ryan (new)

Ryan | 5334 comments Hi there April! Have you written any more poems?

Nope - both wrong. Number 3 is the lie...it has happened to me twice, not once!

message 965: by Nicky (new)

Nicky (soundgirl) | 1388 comments oh! Hee hee!
April says "Hilarious!I'd wouldn't have guessed"
We're both laughing at your misfortune! I never thought I'd say this but perhaps speedo's are the way forward!!!

April's latest poem..

Oh my sweet tree
by April age 7

oh my sweet tree
not a tree yet but a starter
from a branch of a tree
grouing up with help
and plenty of water
and durt and maybe a nice
wiggly wurm to help
nacher grou
but never to ascap
the tree grouing big
and strong spreding oxigone
watever may come and go
I may feeyl love for it
as the day and night pas by
it will never die
oh my sweet tree.

- By the way did you get the job? Did the girls take pity on you?

Ryan | 5334 comments Another beautiful poem, April! You are so very clever. I love your title, it made me very happy. My boys love wiggly wurms, too. That line made me laugh. I hope you will write lots more poetry so your mummy can share them with us.

Yes, I got the job. I remember my boss telling me that I made quite the impression!
Unfortunately the girls were too busy laughing, along with everyone else :)

message 967: by [deleted user] (new)

1. I once prayed the Lord's Prayer 50 times in a row, and then opened to the Lord's Prayer in my dictionary.

2. I once told on a priest who was touching me incessantly on our afternoon walks, who then moved to assault me in the library parking lot. Afterward I opened up to the word: Peccant, Pecancy, Peccavi, etc.

3. I once crossed the street, and then opened up to the word Pedestrian.

Cat, I'm hoping this is the lie as it's quite sad.

message 970: by [deleted user] (new)

No, that is true. The situation majorly effected his drill.

message 971: by [deleted user] (last edited May 26, 2014 03:13PM) (new)

Okay, I will tell:

3. is the lie. Although, just now, I crossed my street to look at the flowers lining a drive way, and when I got back to my apartment, I opened up dictionary (New World Dictionary of American English 3rd College Edition) to a "random" page, and I found these significant words:

Extra canonical= not included in the canon; not among the authorized books

and this word:

Extreme Unction= Anointing of the Sick = I escorted this priest to the hospital where I volunteer to anoint the sick a couple of times.

message 972: by Nicky (new)

Nicky (soundgirl) | 1388 comments Right here's one to make you chuckle...

My youngest daughter has...

1)Got her finger stuck in a keyhole and had to have the fire brigade to get her out.
2)Got a party sausage stuck up her nose.
3)Got stuck inside the wooden dolly house.

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10110 comments Number three?

message 974: by Nicky (new)

Nicky (soundgirl) | 1388 comments No, she really did manage to get inside the dolls house - I hadn't thought to say that was something it would be best not to do! We did manage to get her out without resulting to power tools thank goodness!

message 976: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments You never know what you’re going to find out about people! I had a couple of pages to catch up on, and I couldn’t quit reading.

message 977: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments 1. I usually type my Goodreads comments, even short ones, on a word processor, then paste them to the comment box.

2. I usually starch and iron even the clothes I wear to work in the yard.

3. I often wear jeans and polo shirts.

message 978: by [deleted user] (new)

#2?

message 979: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments #3. It’s been so many years since I’ve worn a pair of jeans or a tennis shirt, I can’t remember the last time. I wear khakis and dress shirts.

message 980: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10110 comments I can believe number one, because I do the same thing.

message 981: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments You can tell when I’m not at my own computer and am having to type in the comment box. The apostrophes and quotation marks are rabbit tracks (straight) rather than the characters that should go with the typeface.

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10110 comments I guess I'll go next!

My favorite subject to write about when doing short stories is…

1. Hostage Situations
2. Shy Guy Romance
3. Cinematic Combat

message 983: by Ryan (new)

Ryan | 5334 comments Number 1, Garrison?

Hope you're having a great weekend, mate.

message 984: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments I agree with Ryan. No. 1.

message 985: by [deleted user] (new)

hmmmm, just for the sake of having a different answer, I'd go for no. 3 :)

message 986: by Nicky (new)

Nicky (soundgirl) | 1388 comments Ryan wrote: "Number 1?"

Yes! There's a character called Hazel in Joyce Grenthal's stories called Hazel who gets into all kinds of scraps including this one and as our Hazel is gets into similar trouble it always makes us laugh!

Well I don't think it's 2, so I'll vote with Leslie, 3!

message 988: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10110 comments The lie was hostage situations. They're always frustrating to watch on TV because it's a gross imbalance of power between hostage taker and hostage. Plus, there's always that remote possiblity the hostage taker will get away with his crimes.

message 989: by [deleted user] (new)

Some of my favorite artists/groups/bands are...

1) Lorde
2) Vampire Weekend
3) Kate Nash

message 990: by Ryan (new)

Ryan | 5334 comments Hi, Sophie. Is 3 the lie?

message 991: by [deleted user] (new)

Nope, it's 1. I honestly hate Lorde (sorry Lorde-lovers!) I think she's a bit wannabe indie, truthfully. I like Kate Nash, and I love Vampire Weekend.

message 992: by Ryan (new)

Ryan | 5334 comments Haha, I feel the same way about Lorde but thought I was the only one! Hence my guess. I'm on a huge Lana Del Rey fix at the minute, can't stop listening to her. New album is out in another week or two.

message 993: by [deleted user] (new)

I've seen...
1.All Godzilla movies at least once
2. All Hitchcock movies
3. None of the full twilight movies

message 994: by Ryan (new)

Ryan | 5334 comments Number 2?

message 995: by [deleted user] (new)

yup I haven't watched one.

message 996: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10110 comments If you ever decide to start watching Hitchcock movies, a good one to begin with is "Rear Window". I had to watch it for a cinema studies class in college and it deserved every award it got.

message 997: by [deleted user] (new)

Well I'm only 14.. So maybe in college...

message 998: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10110 comments Alrighty then.

message 999: by [deleted user] (last edited Jun 02, 2014 06:04PM) (new)

Yup Ok so more truths and lies..

1.I'm the only girl that plays my instrument.
2.I play the flute
3. My band teacher compares us to grass.
