Yey! Finally, I picked the right answer.

Ha! I'm pretty horrible at this game, you aren't alone by any means.

message 653: by [deleted user] (new)

You made it pretty easy Cheyenne, so thanks to you :))

message 654: by Cheyenne (new)

Cheyenne | 815 comments No problem! XD

No. 1!!

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4470 comments No. 1 (I hope!!! :D)!

No wait! I have a feeling that is a trick statement. Hmmm.

I will now guess Number 2...?

message 657: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4470 comments Hehehe. I saw that you did it that way!!! Did you see my comment Belly?

message 658: by [deleted user] (last edited Jul 23, 2013 06:23PM) (new)

Can I guess again? harhar

**I posted my comment too late.

message 659: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4470 comments Well I had actually put in No.1 and then went back on it when I realized number one said "Baths" and I figure you were trying to mislead.

(And I am being honest!).

message 660: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4470 comments Oh okay! (Blush). Sorry.

I was going to be silly if anyone thought I cheated and was going to say, "Hey I would never tell a lie! That is not what this game is about!!" :P

message 661: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments 1. I read vampire novels while I drive.
2. I watch Tobuscus vids.
3. I shower in a sunken tub.

message 662: by [deleted user] (new)

Hmmm, No. 1

Though I'm tempted to go with 2, I know Kat watches those vids, I'm not sure if you do too.

message 663: by [deleted user] (new)

He reads anything in French while driving, I think (if my memory is working properly)

message 664: by M (last edited Jul 23, 2013 06:50PM) (new)

M | 11617 comments Oh, my! Leslie has a good memory. No. 2 is the lie. I don’t watch videos of any kind. Years ago, I cut the pages out of two vampire novels (Entretien avec un vampire and La Moisson), and have been reading them, a few sentences at a time, ever since. I carry a few pages around in my shirt pocket. It’s poor fare, and I plan to switch to something better when my facility with French improves a little more.

message 665: by [deleted user] (new)

I should have followed my instincts lol

message 666: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments The irony is that they’re American novels, and I had to go to some trouble to get French translations.

(It took me three tries to post this. My Internet speed at the moment is 11 kb/sec.)

message 667: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Belly, that is indeed a brilliant opening paragraph.

message 668: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments I haven’t read Interview with the Vampire. I have a copy in English that I go to sometimes when there are passages in the French that I just can’t figure out, but the novel is so badly written that I’ve never had the patience to read much of it.

The Harvest is a novelization of the pilot episode of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer series. Having seen that episode several times, I knew the story intimately and all the dialogue in it. When I came across the novelization of it and saw that the dialogue was verbatim from the script, it occurred to me to get it in French. I wouldn’t have to look up any of the dialogue, and it would be easy to decipher the narrative.

message 669: by [deleted user] (last edited Jul 24, 2013 03:24AM) (new)

What you're doing is interesting, M. I don't have the patience to learn a language on my own. I was interested with Nihongo and Spanish before but never got the will to learn them.

message 670: by M (last edited Jul 24, 2013 03:34AM) (new)

M | 11617 comments I don’t have the patience, either, Leslie, and my attention is too scattered for me to make any kind of attempt that requires learning in a stepwise fashion, the way languages are usually taught. Instead, I wound up making sure that everywhere I turned, there was something printed in French, the idea (however irrational) being that if I looked at enough of it, sooner or later it would start making sense.

message 671: by [deleted user] (last edited Jul 24, 2013 04:30AM) (new)

Have you tried writing a story or poem in French?

I don't find it irrational. Recognition memory? I'm not sure though but I think it's effective.

message 672: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments M, you might want to consider moving to Canada. By law, all items sold need both English and French labelling. You can gel all legal documents in both languages. Or come for an extended visit. You may find the wet coast of Canada, here in Vancouver, peculiar in contrast to the Texas dryness and heat.

message 674: by [deleted user] (new)

No. 3?

message 675: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments #1 I can't believe no one in 20 wouldn't call you back.

message 676: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments I'm going with 2. (I can easily believe the 20 applications without a response, and I know you're planning a trip.)

message 677: by Zack (new)

Zack 2

message 678: by Caitlan (new)

Caitlan (lionesserampant) | 2869 comments It is two. I've only dyed it nine times in the past three years.

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4470 comments That is good French M. That is at least better than anything I could do anyway.

message 687: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4470 comments Wow. Number 2 is the lie. How'd ya know?

My dad won't like me telling this but when my dad was young, he actually did what I claimed to have done in message 853. He regretted it ever since because he cut his toe and ended up being sent to the ER.

Now that I think about it. . . my dad grew up in the very house that I live in now and the room I claim as my own was my dad's when he was little. I think that is a sign I have to be a "Grasshopper" and do my light switch kicking practice. Yeah. (Not really).

message 688: by [deleted user] (new)

Just a wild guess, CJ yey!! lol

message 689: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4470 comments Still though. . . great guess there, Leslie. :)

message 693: by [deleted user] (new)

yey! lol I think I'm one of the very few people who like mayo.

message 694: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments I like mayo, particularly the kind with olive oil in it.

message 695: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4470 comments I like mayo too. And Leslie you are rolling with the answers! Lol. :D
