"No!" The cry escaped her lips involuntarily. Her stepmother looked up with an evil grin on her face, but no one else noticed. Drizella was too busy staring at the Prince. The Prince was too busy staring at Drizella. Gacella was staring jealously at the little glass slipper, fitted snugly on her sister's foot. The footman was already out the door, signaling a herald to take the news to the King.
She sat down numbly on the step, barely noticing as everyone bustled out of the house and into the royal carriage. Night fell. It was only then that she began to cry.
Almost instantly, her Fairy Godmother was there, hovering just a couple inches off the ground. "Whatever is the matter, my dear?" she asked.
Tearfully, Cinderella explained the whole thing. What happened next couldn't have been worse.
"My dear, I am so sorry, but there's nothing I can do."
She looked up in shock. "What?"
"I am so sorry," she said again, "but my services belong to the girl who gets the happily ever after. It's in the Fairy Guidlelines That Aren't Really Guidelines But Actually Rules Book.
Cinderella couldn't believe it. "That has got to be the dumbest book titly I've ever heard," she said quietly. "Who wrote it?"
"Hmm..." The Fairy Godmother thought for a moment. "You know, I think it was the baker on Baker's Street about three hundred years ago."
"Was he a fairy?"
The Fairy chuckled. "Oh goodness me, no. You don't have to be a fairy to write a book."
Cinderella's little brain wheels were turning. "You know, I've always wanted to write a book."
And she walked away with the Fairy Godmother, discussing possiblities, the Prince forgotten.
It couldn't be real. It couldn't be the truth right? I'm just seeing things right? The shoe didn't go on Anastasia's foot! It couldn't have! I shoke my head and rubbed my eyes. Yeah, it did. I took another step down the creaky stairs. They all looked my direction. I wave. "H-hi," I stamper. My wicked stepmother smile in my direction. I keep my cool, a true princess never gets too mad. They never really show their anger actully. I took a deep breath and walked up to her. "Wow, Anastasia, I think its great you get to be with the prince," I said. She smiled. "CINDERELLA! MAKE ME A WEDDING DRESS," she exclaimed. I smiled and curtsied. "Sure," I said. Maybe, if she marries into the kingdom, Drizzela and my stepmom would leave with her and they could have all the servants they wanted. Maybe I'd go also, but I bet I could find a better place. I have several friends in the market place. Just another month to deal with these people and I'd be free! Free from them all. I took a deep breath. They weren't that bad, they at least gave me a place to stay. I know I did everything, but did that give me permission to hate them with all my heart. No! No it did not! I took a deep breath. "I'm going to the market place to go buy some fabric! Anastasia wanna come with me," I yell. She rushed over. "Sure! It is my wedding dress after all," she said. We walked out the door and started walking. I took another deep breath. "Anastasia, I truly am glad you're getting married to the prince," I say. She looked at me. "You do," she said. I nodded. "I was jealous at the start. The very start. Before you got to be married to the prince. Jealous you didn't have to work, that I had to do everything while you and Drizzela got to lounge around and do nothing but read and eat and whatever else, but I'm not anymore. I should be thenakful," I said. She looked at me confused. "Cinderella, I'm sorry I've been a jerk," she said, "In fact, I've sorta been jealous of you. Getting to explore the city while you go shopping for us, how you get to meet all sorts of different people. To have fun and not have to work so hard and hurt yourself to look pretty." I looked at her. "Really," I asked. She nodded, her red hair bouncing in front of her face. I smile and hug her. "I didn't know," I whisper to her. She hugs me back. "I should be the one sorry," she said.

"Cinderella!" my stepmother was appalled.
"SHUT IT YOU BOLD BAT!" I snapped, "AND MY NAME IS KRISTY!!!! NOT CINDERELLA!!!!!"
"Um...perhaps we'll come back again?" the prince and footman began to back slowly out the door.
"NOO!" I shouted, slamming the door before they could leave, "YOU'RE STAYING RIGHT HERE, UNTIL YOU PUT THE FUDGING SHOE ON ME!!!!!!!!"
The footman gulped, "O-o-of course."
I sat down and held out my foot expectantly. He slipped it on and an aura of gold appeared around it.
"Huh?" I looked around confused, "Where am I?"
That's when an evil cackling filled the air and my 'fairy god-mother" appeared, wearing a black cloak, and her red eyes flashing danger.
