Kathryn (kcanty313) I am enjoying the discussion. Just wish I was further along in the book.

(Thanks! I think they are pretty cute, too. Gizmo is my baby.)

(Dustin-I am at "Gardener Takes a Fall", where it is talking about (view spoiler).

TPBM is going to focus, Focus, FOCUS?!

A little bit out of sorts...But, at least I'm reading. ;)

Kyle, it's in the King group. The Tommyknockers is the group read for September. Jump in if you want. :)

TPBM wants cookies??????

message 803: by Christine (new)

Christine Hatfield (christinesbookshelves) | 381 comments I've never tried that

TPBM was watching one tree hill

message 804: by Dustin (new)

Dustin Nope.

(Kathryn- you are very welcome.:)
I think I said this in the group read thread, but you and I are at about the same spot in The Tommyknockers.)

(Kyle- I'm not saying that homosexuals are mistakes, that's not what I'm saying at all. However, I firmly believe that God doesn't make mistakes; therefore, we're all made in His perfect image. He doesn't condone that lifestyle, so why would He create us to be that way? I'm not trying to convert anyone to my beliefs, and I never intended to come off sound preachy. If that's the case, I apologize.)

TPBM is hoping he hasn't offended anyone..?

message 805: by Victor (new)

Victor Nope.
Kyle-I'm just worried over nothing, really. I'm all fine right now.:)
Kathryn- I can't stop cracking my knuckles, neck, wrists, and toes either. My Grandma keeps bothering me about how I shouldn't.
Dustin-Thanks for the word-knowledge. Hope you get more reading done! I have the same problem!

TPBM read a very stupid thought from their book yesterday?
Stupid Comment: Or maybe ugly people just didn't want to live forever.
--City of Bones
Does anyone else agree that they want want to slap this girl upside her stupid head?!?!?!

message 806: by Victor (new)

Victor Dangit! My comment wasn't suppoed to answer Dustins' question 0.0

message 807: by Dustin (new)

Dustin You're very welcome, Victor.

message 808: by Kit★ (new)

Kit★ (xkittyxlzt) In response to Victor's TPBM, no I didn't do much reading lately, so haven't seen anything stupid in my book yet :)

I know a couple of gay people, and I don't think they chose to be that way, they just were that way. Love 'em just the same. I'm not religious, so I won't get into that side of the discussion. Kyle, I'm sorry for your cousin, and your loss. That's just sad to me when the people who are homosexual feel like they need to do things like drugs and stuff to cope. Personally, to me, it doesn't matter, I don't care who somebody likes to 'be with' as long as they're not doing it to children (or animals! yikes) and not forcing anyone without consent. To me, whether you like men or women, it doesn't matter as long as you're a decent person and live a decent life, y'know not robbing people, killing people, being a mean person, etc... y'know? I'll quit rambling now :)

TPBM likes the smell of striking matches? I do :D

Have you ever heard of the story of Sodom and Gomorrah? Check out Genesis Chapter 18-19 in the Bible. Also, Ezekiel 16:49-50, Leviticus 18:22, and Jude 7. Romans 1:26-27, Corinthians 6:9, Romans 1: 18-32, Genesis 2:21-24, Matthew 19:4-6. Not trying to stir the pot, but the Bible does talk about it and how God sees it as a sin.

Haha!! I couldn't finish the first book in that series. Some of the characters drove me INSANE.

TPBM wishes people could see the world through their eyes?

message 811: by Kit★ (new)

Kit★ (xkittyxlzt) My thoughts on that are I have a hard time believing that with all the wars and murders and environmental destruction and child molestations and torturing and rapes and abuse of people and animals and every other horrible thing that happens in this world, well I have a hard time believing that God's more worried about who's having sex with who than he's worried about all that other horrid stuff.

So, matches? No one likes the smell of matches? *crickets...* Lol :)

message 812: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kcanty313) Haha, smell of matches is good!

TPBM is eating Frito chili pie?

message 813: by Victor (new)

Victor Nope. That sounds weird. Is it good?
Matches are good:)
TPBM likes tortilla chips and guacamole?(I perfer salsa, but thats what I had today:))

message 814: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kcanty313) Don't think I have ever had blueberry pie, actually.

(Victor-Frito chili pie is where you get Fritos corn chips and put them on the bottom of a bowl. Pour hot chili over them, then sprinkle shredded cheese, and maybe a little sour cream. Then eat it.)

TPBM is hoping it rains today? (Since it is on the forcast and radar! But somehow, it always seems to miss us. :()

message 815: by Kit★ (new)

Kit★ (xkittyxlzt) Frito chili pie sounds pretty good! I might have to try that one of these days :D

Yea, rain would be cool with me, as long as it rains today and not tomorrow, I got plans for tomorrow lol.

TPBM is looking forward to the coming weekend?

message 816: by Kit★ (new)

Kit★ (xkittyxlzt) Oooh, that sounds fun!

I've read some good books from the 80s but I don't really go searching 'em out or anything.

TPBM skips breakfast?

message 817: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kcanty313) NEVER. If I miss breakfast somehow, which is very rare, I become very, very, very, very, very, VERY, VERY, VERY, CRANKY. Not a fun time.

TPBM is thinking of going to the library on Saturday?

message 818: by Holly (new)

Holly | 791 comments Nope, I just went to the library yesterday. :)

TPBM is having a good day?

message 819: by Kit★ (new)

Kit★ (xkittyxlzt) So far it's ok

TPBM can't wait to find a new place but doesn't have any idea of how to go about it finding and buying one?

message 820: by Holly (new)

Holly | 791 comments Yes, I'd like to move but that probably won't happen until next year.

TPBM is excited?

message 821: by Dustin (new)

Dustin No, not particularly..

(Kathryn- I want to thank you for the Scripture verses. As soon as I saw that you'd posted them, it brought a huge smile to my face.
And BTW, I love Frito chili pie. It's delicious!)

TPBM is feeling pretty out of it again..?

message 822: by Holly (new)

Holly | 791 comments Nope, can't say that I do.
(Why do you feel out of it Dustin? I hope everything's ok. :))

TPBM loves having a library card?

message 823: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kcanty313) I do! I am hoping to use it on Saturday. :)

TPBM thinks they hear thunder??!?!?! WOOHOO! Storms!

message 824: by Holly (new)

Holly | 791 comments I'd like to think I am lol.

TPBM hope to finish studying either today or tomorrow?

Cool; what are you planning on checking out Kathryn?

Probably sounds bad, but some shorter books I have on my to-read list. I'm about ten books behind on my reading challenge, and not that it really matters, but I would like to complete 50 books this year. I'm thinking Tomato Red by Daniel Woodrell (just read his Winter's Bone, and loved it), and Coraline by Neil Gaiman. I've got two other shorter reads after I finish The Tommyknockers, so hopefully they will help me catch up a bit. :)

message 827: by Victor (new)

Victor I don't study like that.
Kathryne-Frito chili pie actually sounds pretty good. I like to have noodle in my chili so I guess yoou can call it chili mac:)
TPBM is hungry? (oh! Good news! Today might be my last apointment for my ear infection!)

message 828: by Lilsurprise (new)

Lilsurprise | 52 comments No I just ate a bunch of snacks! :D(So did Jordan...)

TPBM has jumped off a cliff?

message 829: by Dustin (new)

Dustin No, I have not..

(Holly- everything's all right. I just haven't gotten much reading done-as you know-and I'm feeling rather discouraged because of it. Thank you for asking, though!)

(Well that's fantastic news, Victor!!)

TPBM really needs to get motivated, as there are a lot of things he/she NEEDS to do?

message 830: by Kit★ (new)

Kit★ (xkittyxlzt) Yes, I could use a double-shot of some motivation for sure... I need to clean the house, pack stuff up that's not being used, exercise more, go on a diet, do some reading... lol the list goes on, but the motivation is non-existent....

TPBM doesn't know what to make for dinner?

message 831: by Victor (new)

Victor It's 10:37 so dinner isn't on my mind.:D I made a beef sandwhich about 4 hours ago for dinner.

TPBM is happy whenever they see Kit, Dustin, Kathryn, Kyle, Christine or Holly comment on this thread?

message 832: by Christine (new)

Christine Hatfield (christinesbookshelves) | 381 comments Me too

TPBM is watching Dr Phil

message 833: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kcanty313) No. I don't like Dr. Phil. He's actually from the city I was born in and went to college.

(Victor-We're happy when you post here, too!)

TPBM got roses yesterday from their spouse?

message 834: by Dustin (new)

Dustin Well technically, Tanya and I "met" online, but the first time we actually saw one another in the flesh, we were outside, yes.:)

(Victor- it always makes me happy to see you-or any of my GR friends-online. I'm glad you feel the same way, man!)

TPBM doesn't know what to do with themselves, half the time??

message 835: by Holly (new)

Holly | 791 comments Sometimes I get that way when my daughter's sleeping. It's sometimes very hard for me to decide what to do, because I usually have a good amount of things that I want to do at the same time lol.

TPBM thinks that the hot weather is finally gone?

message 836: by Christine (new)

Christine Hatfield (christinesbookshelves) | 381 comments Yeah i'm happy about that

TPBM is watching the locator

message 837: by Holly (new)

Holly | 791 comments Nope, not me.

TPBM feels kind of lazy today?

TPBM is going for a walk with my family today

message 840: by Holly (new)

Holly | 791 comments No walking for me today. It's stay at home and relax day. :)

TPBM is excited about having a date night with his/her spouse? (Because they haven't had one in a really long time)

message 841: by Christine (new)

Christine Hatfield (christinesbookshelves) | 381 comments Oh nice

TPBM is going to watch a movie with my parents and eat pizza for dinner

message 842: by Dustin (new)

Dustin No, but some pizza sounds really good about now!

(Thank you, Holly, for checking on me and-in turn-being a great friend!
I'm really happy for you and your husband, because I know the two of you don't get that special one-on-one time together.:))

TPBM is determined to get some reading done today and hopefully over the weekend!?!

message 843: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kcanty313) That's definitely me. I just read about 80 pages, so that's a start.

TPBM is excited about getting their husband's truck back since he has been using their car for just about 4 weeks after a 500 pound tree limb fell on the truck and had to be repaired? (Miss my car sooooooooooooo much.)

message 844: by Victor (new)

Victor No, but I'm happy you get your car back, Kathryn.

TPBM was going to go to the library after school, but their backpack became too heavy?

message 845: by Dustin (new)

Dustin I'm not in school, but a trip to the library is always enjoyable.:)

(Kathryn- I'm so sorry to hear about the tree limb falling on your husbands truck..:( I'm happy that you're finally getting your car back, though!
Holy wow, that's quite the start!! So which chapter are you in now? I'm still in the middle of "Gardener Takes A Fall." GrrR!)

TPBM is getting closer and closer to finally meeting their baby boy for the 1st time!?!

message 846: by Holly (new)

Holly | 791 comments Whenever we decide to have another one, I know my husband will be there. :)

(You're welcome Dustin. :) And thanks! We sure don't; that's why I'm very excited about this one!)

TPBM is ready to relax?

message 847: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kcanty313) I have been relaxing...and it feels quite nice...:)

TPBM's husband/wife is making a bunch of noise in the garage building stuff and it's driving them CRAZY?! (But, at the same time, he's having fun, so that makes me happy. I should move to another room, though, on the OPPOSITE side of the house. haha!)

message 848: by Holly (new)

Holly | 791 comments Nope, my hubby's still at work.
(Good luck getting away from the noise Kathryn!)

TPBM needs to pick up on their reading a little bit?

message 849: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kcanty313) I think I do. I feel like I read slow, though.

(Thanks! He uses saws, sanders, drills, hammers, etc.....ugh. At least he's having fun.)

TPBM wishes they read faster?

message 850: by Holly (new)

Holly | 791 comments Sometimes I think I read a bit too fast...
(You're welcome. Well, as long as he's having fun, right? Lol)

TPBM hates getting interrupted while they're reading?
