Victor Sortof.
Marnie, Dustin, Yeah I guess the library was closed because of the holiday and yes it was hell walking back, Marnie.:) But it's fine because I went after school today so it was a shorter walk.:-)

TPBM reads reads multiple copies of the same book? (for lots of reason I do like when I take a book to school i'll take the battered one or i'll grab a copy from the library or i sometimes just switch it up and read from my paperback or hardack when i'm in the mood.)

message 702: by Marnie (new)

Marnie (Enchanted Bibliophile) (enchantedbibliophile) Well, sort of yes! Only I take my e-reader every were and leave my 'real books' at home - save and sound.

[Victor, glad you got to the Library after all..]
[Kyle, are you okay?]

TPBM is a very special person

message 717: by Dustin (new)

Dustin Yeah, I guess so..

(You know, Victor, I really wouldn't mind re-read The Tommyknockers, but I think I'd rather read a different King book like Needful Things or Lisey's Story.. you know? Not only that, but it's already the 5th. I'm horribly late...:()

TPBM has a lot on their mind?

message 718: by Kathryn (last edited Sep 06, 2012 10:01AM) (new)

Kathryn (kcanty313) Yes, I have a lot on my mind.

(Dustin-No one has really talked about The Tommyknockers yet in the group. It isn't too late to start. We started it on Sunday, which was technically late, because it was the third. So, it's only been the group read for three days, so you haven't missed anything.)

TPBM can't wait for the visit of a friend this weekend they haven't seen in over a year?

message 719: by Dustin (new)

Dustin No, I can't say that I am..

(Kathryn- if you ever need to talk, you know I'll always be a willing listener, and will help if I can. That's what friends are for, right?:)
Thank you for your kind words. They're encouraging. I realize that I haven't really missed anything, but part of me feels like it's too late because I haven't even started yet. Does that make sense?)

TPBM liked Pet Semetary 2?

message 726: by Victor (new)

Victor Yup it was pretty good.
I kinda made torture-horror up, but it's just like a horror movie but the people are just tortured. I hate movies like that butI like the oes where it like a killer just picking people of. so i guess you could sasy i like the classic, cheesy horror movies.:)
TPBM has no homework today?

message 727: by Holly (new)

Holly | 791 comments I take an at-home course, so I get to have homework anytime I want to, or don't want to. (Lol)

Oh, ok. I'm pretty much open to anything really. Although Hostel scared me; I refuse to watch that one again!

TPBM is really getting into the book they're reading?

message 728: by Victor (new)

message 732: by Dustin (new)

Dustin Well, I'm almost always up for a trip to the library, but I have more than enough reading material, and I would only end up adding more books to my "to-read" list.:)

(Thank you very much, Victor! I'm really enjoying The Tommyknockers already, and I'm only 44 pages in! I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it, as well.
I'm glad your ear infection is getting better.)

Victor It's not raining, but it is pretty wet outside.
(Thanks, Dustin.I'm so glad your reading Tommyknockers now. Theres nothing like the first 100 pages of a King novel:))
TPBM is hungry, but theres no snacks?

message 735: by Dustin (new)

Dustin I'm not hungry, actually, but we do have some snacks..

(Aw, that's so sweet of you to read to your daughter, Holly. I'm very much looking forward to reading to Carter... I don't know why, but I've never really been able to read like most people do. It drives me crazy. I must always read aloud!)

(You're very welcome, Victor. Please keep us updated, will you? I'm thrilled to be reading The Tommyknockers again!)

TPBM is a sensitive person?

message 736: by Victor (new)

Victor Pain not so much but the whole"sticks and stones will break my bones and words will never hurt me" is a lie!
(You have to read aloud, Dustin? I enjoy reading aloud and reading in my head. I will always keep you and everyone else updated as long asyou do too!LOL.
TPBM has a song stuck in their head?

message 737: by Dustin (new)

message 738: by Victor (new)

TPBM like Big Brother?

message 739: by Holly (new)

Holly | 791 comments Honestly, I've never watched it.

(Thanks Dustin :) I know that you'll love reading to him.....there's nothing like reading to your child and seeing them get excited and smiling. :) There's nothing wrong with that; everyone reads their own way. If it works for you, that's all that matters. :))

TPBM is excited to be reading The Tommyknockers?

message 745: by Christine (new)

Christine Hatfield (christinesbookshelves) | 381 comments Oh that's not good

TPBM is watching the news right now

message 746: by Dustin (new)

Dustin Nope, I am not..

(Holly- well, I've read books to some of nephews and other kids we've watched in the past, so I know I'll absolutely LOVE experiencing that with Carter Jaxon!!
I know that we all read in own way, but I don't know, I kind of feel like an outcast or something because almost no one reads aloud. I know of only 1 other person that does that. And whenever I leave for awhile to read down the road at the Conoco, I become self-conscious because a couple of the employees there have made flippant comments in the past...
I'm so happy that you'll be joining us for the September group read!)

TPBM feels like they're drowning by the world around them (metaphorically speaking, of course..?)

message 747: by Holly (new)
