Andrea Ehrhardt | 11 comments I didn't like how Eric and his friend were making fun of Mike Costello's death. That was very disrespectful and mean, espicially considering that Joey over heard them.

Anna Lin | 13 comments The part in the book when Paul decides to tell the truth about everything he knows really stood out to me. I thought it was really brave of Paul to stand up and tell everyone the truth, instead of pushing the blame onto other people in the school or the ream.

Jacob Gosbeth | 11 comments Paul has just beat his old schools team and his old friends are not mad at him for being a good goalie. and doing good at blocking goals

I like how his friends were proud of him instead of mad when is new school soccer team beat his old team.

Domenic Portuesi | 9 comments Whats the point of having mike in the story when he just dies in the first place?

Anna Lin | 13 comments Towards the end of part two the War Eagles win the county championship. Everyone on the team was really happy. I think the reason they win was because they worked together as a team and had determintion.

I am wondering the same thing. Its just sad.

I think it was really disrepectful too. Mike is dead and still they don't feel any grief but standing there and laughing about it.

I liked how they accepted Paul and treated him like a starting player instead of someone who stood on the sidelines.

Well they thought of it was a normal game, to the War Eagles it is war!

i think its just that they had him in there to make it so jeoy had a reason to act sad and so they could add more detail about joeys family.

Anna Lin | 13 comments Domenic wrote: "Whats the point of having mike in the story when he just dies in the first place?"

I think they put him in to show, how he didn't really care about football. Like it's not a big dream thing, it's just like a hobby or something he enjoys.

They could have just added more detail WITHOUT him dying.

Gabby Babcock | 22 comments i think an important item in the book is paul's goggles. the book talks about him having eye problems and thats why he could'nt play at lake windsor middle school. and he was nervous about playing at tangerine middle because of his history (about him not being able to play soccer) would happen again at his new school because he has problems with his eyesight.

message 18: by Gabby (new)

Gabby Babcock | 22 comments I think the most important charcters are paul and his mom. they are constlantly in the book. my question is where is his dad in the book? it seems that he is only at the begginning of the book.

message 19: by Gabby (new)

Gabby Babcock | 22 comments a weird situation in the book is mike was bairley mentioned in the book and all the sudden he died. i was wondering why they put that in the book.

message 20: by Gabby (new)

Gabby Babcock | 22 comments i was confused when i was reading. did paul tell on those kids from tangerine middle that were fighting at the carnival?? i was wondering because those kids are really mean to paul. when he heard they were suspended he acted fishy about it.

please writee me back answering that question.

Because it puts a lot of pressure on mikes younger brother, who is in the story the whole way through.

message 27: by Allie (new)

Allie Darish | 20 comments the event that i think was very inportant in the book is when the big brother shows up at the football feild and says to eric "why do you hit a little kid, if your that rude then come up and hit me" and eric did. also his behavor he gets bad grades, steals, and other bad things and his parent just ask for poeple to forgive he, this is wrong
