why thresh saved katniss? he didnt know katniss relationship with rue so,why? i understand why he killed clove,but why not kill katniss after that?

Because he believed Katniss when she said that his district sent her bread because of what she did for Rue. Also, didn't Clove say something to Katniss about them killing Rue - or am I confusing it with the movie?

Hmmm, if you read the book, Thresh listens to what Clove's says about Rue (becoz she's talking about how's Rue and Katniss allied), and actually questioned Katniss (after murdered Clove) about her and Rue's friendship.

and Katniss explained to Thresh that she allied with Rue,and treat her death properly (singing until her last breath, etc). So, Thresh didn't kill Katniss - for Rue. :)

I take it you're talking about the movie - which I never understood either!
In the book, Katniss quickly explains to Thresh about how she and her were 'allies' and such.
So he let her go.

But in the movie - Thresh says to Katniss (just after he saved her) "Just this once 12, for Rue".
But by rights, he wouldn't have known that Katniss & Rue were allies.
They messed up big time there!
