Arukiyomi | 271 comments actually, anyone here live in central London? I'm trying to find somewhere to crash for the night of the 9th of Dec. Message me if you can help out.

Cass 10e Yay!! Great work, Arukiyomi!

Elizabeth (Alaska) The more I read in the Finished thread "I don't know why it made the list" makes me think I should get a copy of the 2010 book. (Not sure the 2012 book will be available in the US.) John, the publishers should understand this. Without your spreadsheet, and now hopefully the app for others, I might not be as committed to the list as otherwise. And it makes me more and more curious about the editors comments regarding the books in the list. So bottom line? I think your spreadsheet helps sell books - they should be paying you!

Jen | 14 comments best of luck!!! without your app i'd be even more disorganized than ever.

As for the 2012 book, I bought it from a seller on Amazon - book, ship etc ran about $30. Took a week from the UK to land-locked US. I love the paperback style.

Jen | 14 comments I agree with Alaska. They owe u! You keep the fans going!

By profession, medicine and research /statistics' i live by numbers and the ability to learn from them (ok, play with them too). The spread sheet is a great tool to break down) who you've read & ignored, figure which topics occur when, genre growth characteristics & blahblah.. Maybe Im the only nerd who'd use that spreadsheet as data for mere bookish curiosity by adding info here & there- dbase it, analyze and learn even more. Like I said first, I'm a nerd so feel free to comment

I have trodden the sacred halls of Quintessence Editions and seen floor to ceiling wall to wall bookshelves with every permutation of 1001 books you could possibly imagine.... and I bring news to the faithful:

The books app should be back for the iPhone around UK springtime i.e. in 3 months or so. For those that are interested, we hope to re-releasing the movies app in October to coincide with a new edition of the movies list which will be published in the US by Barrons.

I'll also have spreadsheets available for both lists in a few months I hope although that's taking a back seat to the apps right now. And no, Android will not be supported until someone gives me $20,000 ;-)

Sophia | 26 comments Thanks for the update! Just checking if this means the app would only be available in the UK? Would the 2012 changes be included?

M (masanobu) | 110 comments Thanks for the info. That's great news!
Unfortunately, I'm an Android user :( Ever thought about starting a kickstarter project for it? Just an idea ;)

Lauren (shereadsallbooks) | 34 comments Oh! Kick starter is a fantastic idea. I have a friend who just got her cape company funded on kick starter. She was featured in their newsletter on her second to last day and ended up receiving triple her goal!
