Do you think is in the Potter world or not?

message 2: by Dee (new) - added it

Dee likely will be getting it, but i know its not set in the potter world - its supposed to be completely different

Rebecca W. whats it about?

Gretchen I mean no disrespect and I will be reserving a copy day one. However, The first thing I thought of when I read the description was the movie "Hot Fuzz." I loved that movie though so maybe that type of theme is just British humor.

Aurora Tirzah wrote: "Sounds different and interesting. I'll probably give it a try-I am curious to see how Rowling writes outside of Harry.

No, it doesn't sound like it's set in the Potter World.

My to-read list is ..."

Tirzah, my to-read shelf makes up 31% of my total number of books. It's okay.

Anderson: Yes and no.

Gracie i'll get it but im more interested in ya books so im basically just getting it out of loyalty to jk rowling

"And the empty seat left by Barry on the parish council soon becomes the catalyst for the biggest war the town has yet seen. Who will triumph in an election fraught with passion, duplicity and unexpected revelations?"

Seems like a different topic and movement altogether.

WIll probably get it, I guess.

Samuel Proulx I'll get it if it's an ebook, as that's really all I read these days. Otherwise, no.

♥ Alexia -Team Malec ♥ No it has nothing to do with Harry Potter. it's not even a fantasy novel, it sounds pretty boring to me, but that's probably because I'm a child.

Tracy Reilly I heard about this on NPR, and it got my curiousity. will definitely get it. Harry was always heading towards adulthood, anyway--my daughter was in first or second grade when my mother brought us "The Philosopher's Stone" from England---yes, we had the English copy, not the American "Sorcerer's Stone"---( god forbid, American's getting scared off by the deepness of PHILOSOPHY ) my mother has a weirdly prescient history with British invasions--she brought home a British version of an album called "Introducing the Beatles" (not the ubiquitious "Meet the Beatles" mind you):circa 1964-5? I was too young to make a distinction but President Kennedy had just been shot, and apparently a lot of Little British girls mistook my mother for Jaqui Kennedy for her little brown flip hairdo and A-line dresses, mistaking a midwest for a Bryn Mawr accent..

Christina It sounds totally boring, but I intend to read it.

message 12: by Xdyj (new) - rated it 5 stars

Xdyj Don't know if it will be interesting, but it's written by JK Rowling so I'll give it a try.

Koyasan It seems interesting enough. Very different from HP. Definitely gonna give it a try.

♥ Alexia -Team Malec ♥ Well, Tell me if it was good.

Samantha The Escapist Yeah, being honest I gotta say the storyline doesn't interest me in the slightest. But I'm nothing if not loyal to authors I like so I'll definitely check it out, I'll just probably buy it and then procrastinate for a year before I get to it.
