I know that was a really bad question:) I've read 1-6. Its not that I don't like the 2 one but if I had to place them in a order that would have to be the last.

So.. who is your favorite character? And why?

Yeah! Gilan is very awesome. I'd have to say I like Halt the best well just because he's Halt! He has the greatest lines and even though Halt is serious all the time, I think he's the most hilarious!

I would have to say Halt. I love his sense of humor. He makes me laugh all through the book! And he's so wise. He is amazing at all the stuff he does. He is someone to fear and respect but he shows kindness to those who need it and love to those who deserve it.

Yea he does kind of pick on them.....but I think its some what funny:)I really like Horace. Erak is great too. I highly respect them both.

How did you find out about the Rangers Apprentice books? Did someone tell you about them?

I saw the 2 one at the Library and thought it looked really interesting so I waited for the first one to come back in and after reading it.......well I'm sure you can guess how I feel about them:) I have read the first one more then 6 times. I have the whole series ( 1-6 ) so when ever I get bored I can pull one out and read them again.

I think Gilan is one of my favorite characters so far in the books. I guess in some ways he seems more "down to earth" to me.

I stumbled upon the first of the Rangers books from the library, when I was looking for a new book on tape to listen to in the car, something fairly long. I was so pleased that the story continued in other books, although I have not yet read them all. I was a bit disappointed, after all the buildup of characters of the wardmates, that we didn't get to see much of the other three (other than the bit with Alice and Halt - was that book 2 or 3?). But maybe they are present in further novels....

I read on one of the Rangers apprrentice sits that the auther did not like George at all and was glad to never bring him up again. I have to agree that I wish Will would always have liked Alyss better. Nothing wrong with Evanlyn but they are not right for one another.

I agree, George could be a very different person. He "came out of his shell" once he took on his apprenticeship, and who is to say that maturity wouldn't add much more depth. I am envisioning how each of the wardmates could be supportive within the greater plots (and again, I have only read up through book 4, so maybe it's there and I don't know it yet). George could have enormous strength where he is placed within the legal profession, and of course Alyss with diplomacy. Jenny might be a bit more tricky, but it's always nice to come home to a comforting and nutritious meal.

Okay, maybe I'm expecting too much. I saw foreshadowing of this early in the first book, but I guess it wasn't intended.

And I love the parallel that was set up initially with Ranger/Diplomat as Halt and Pauline...and then Will and Alyss. I want to see more of that!

I with that Evenlyn and Will were together. I like them a lot better than Will being with Alyss. I think Evenlyn is totally awesome! She rocks, and she saved his butt more than once. They make such a good couple.

How did I find out about the books? I guess I was just browsing through the library. That's what I do. I go around the shelves searching for an interesting story. That's how I found all of my favorite books! Just by randomness. :D

I really liked the beginning characters in Will's dorm thing. I was sad when he never brought them up again! I liked Horace the best, so good thing he's still in!

Yea me too....but I have this thing about always haveing to finish a book I've started. It can be very annoying when I don't want to finish it, but I don't know.....i alway have to get to the end.

Sometimes depends if i like the books like rangers ill finish in bout 3 to 4 hours and Eragon took me three days (its a pretty big book)
