I ♥ Bookie Nookie (bookienookiereviews.blogspot.com) (ibookienookie) I just finished Kissing Sin (Riley Jenson Guardian, #2) by Keri Arthur and planning to start Tempting Evil (Riley Jenson Guardian, #3) by Keri Arthur .

I love Quinn! Although I don't know much about Kellen he is on the HOT list so far, but I have a bad feeling about him--I hope he is not a bad guy. She really needs to catch a break with the guys she "mates" with. I am also diggin' Mr. Horsey-Shapeshifter, Kade. I know they have no hopes of a future together, but it's not looking like she has a future with any man thus far...

Susan (Suz) (sharney) | 292 comments Dang Cherra you are just flying through the Riley books!! YAY!! Yeah I LOVE Quinn, he's the one I was always rooting for! I did like Kellen too! Oh yeah and Kade! LOVE him too! Gosh I want to say so much but I don't want to give you any spoilers!! ;) Enjoy Tempting Evil!

Almost as cruel as an Evil Strigoy Dimitry? HA?
Damn those authors. They just love playing with us! (and we love every line of it).

I've had not the newest, but the one before that in my room for so long and I haven't been interested in reading it. I didn't bother getting the most recent one since I haven't read the previous one yet.

i know, these books are quick reads for me. I am doing the family thing for thanksgiving so not much time for reading--i am dying to get on with this series!

I ♥ Bookie Nookie (bookienookiereviews.blogspot.com) (ibookienookie) I am still totally lovin' the Riley jensen series. I've had a little break from the series--reading other stuff. I am excited to start The Darkest Kiss (Riley Jenson Guardian, #6) by Keri Arthur tonight.

message 69: by Carolyn F. (new)

Carolyn F. Just started Full Moon Rising and love it so far. I have about 5 of her books so hopefully I have them 1-5.

message 70: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolerene) Unfortunately, the first Kerri Arthur book I read was "Bound to Shadows", the 8th book in the series!
Needless to say, I was thoroughly confused. I did enjoy the characters and interaction between Riley and Kai,but had trouble getting into the non-predator shapeshifter Kade.

Oh no! U have got to go back and start from the beginning. I can't imagine how lost u must have been. And Kade is a doll--if u had gotten to know him from the beginning, u might have been moe accepting of him.

message 72: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolerene) Cherra:
It's not that I didn't like the Kade character, I have just never encountered a shifter that wasn't a predator, i.e.: werewolf, were-jaguar, etc.
I have a hard time picturing a man turning into a horse and the whole "herd" thing was a little odd.
I will most likely go back and read from the beginning. It's on my list.

message 73: by LooLoo (new)

LooLoo Nicolerene - I could see where you would be totally confused. Definitely try the series from the start. It's one of my favorites and I really loved Kade. If you read the book where he's introduced I don't think you'll have as much issue with him being a horse shifter. He has some interesting qualities that make up for not being a predator, eh hem! ;)

shifting into a horse is a little odd--i actually didn't give it much thought until your comment. and the whole "herd" thing was definitely strange.

I did a little research and found this blog post discussing this issue. Non-predator shapeshifters just aren't as common as romantic leads.

yeah Carolyn...that might make me tuck my little tail and run...or maybe not :-)

Nicolerene--i was think about the shifter thing and I came to the same conclusion the article talks about...we want them to be in a position of power and strength. Shifting into a seagull isn't quite as romantic--those who have read the series know what I am talking about. thanks for sharing.

Susan (Suz) (sharney) | 292 comments Love Love Love this series! It's still in my top five alltime fav series and I think it will be for a long time to come!!!:)

I really like the stories in Keri Arthurs earlier books, the ripplecreek werewolves, damask circle, lifemates, etc. It's great to watch a writer evolve, and even better when the writer becomes better. I think some writers devolve :)

Rebekah (rowen1313) | 29 comments Ok, I accidentally read the blurb for Riley Jenson 8 when I havent finished 7 (bound to showdows) dont tell me anything else - so don't want to know. The back has allready ruined so much for me! Just want to know if 8 is suppose to be the last book in the series. It sounds pretty final to me.
Thanks

The same thing happened to me with spoiled endings. But no, number 9 is called Moon Sworn and comes out June 3rd

message 85: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I am on Kissing Sin, and for me this series so far is just a light quick read. I like Riley, I do like that sex is not all angsty and the focus isn't on a HEA for one book (I am guesssing she is heading there for the series though). But I do find some of it over the top unbelievable, I just read a part in Kissing Sin where she finished having sex with Misha -- and he was her 4th sex partner for the day -- really in about 6 hours (prep before the party -- Kade, on the way to the party -- Quinn, at the party -- Kellan, and then after the party -- Misha for 2 hours). Okay, that is just over the top, it doesn't offend me or bother me, but it makes it laughable in my eyes.

t'irla ~The Bookslayer~ aka Barbara (tirla) I'm reviving this thread cause I think I'm the only one who is excited about the New Dark Angel Series coming out in 3 weeks. I can't wait to see where she goes with this one.

*gasp* We need to spread the word then! ;)

I started reading Keri's books back in early 2000 and have loved her series. I haven't read Damask Circle, but I have read Riley, Nikki, Myth & Magic, and Ripple Creek Werewolves. I'm very excited to read her Dark Angels series!
